    Keep bulking or cut

    I have been on a bulk for the past 3 weeks and went from 150 to 160lbs also gained some fat along the way. (Btw im 14) my bench increased from 165 to 175 so definately added muscle mass too. Question is fo I keep bulking to 170ish? Or start cutting. If I start cutting wont be able to bulk until next summer because of track and lacrosse during the school year. If I keep bulking, i have a feeling im gonna gain a lot of fat.

    Welcome. There is alot of very solid info on these forums. Pretty much all of TBB knows alot, im fairly new as well so its great to have these guys helping out. Listen to them, many have been exactly where you are now. GL man

    Haha Yeah man just want my six pack back thats why wanted to start cutting, but when your lifts increase so tempting to keep bulking. And yeah alot of these guys seem pretty chill

    Slow down the bulk. Aim to gain 2-3 lbs a month while preogressing on a lifts. Do this for about a year before you think about cutting IMO.

    I'm an amateur myself and just started on here but if you've put on 10 pounds in 3 weeks you may want change your meal plan. If you're bulking make sure you're eating the right foods and not just increasing the amount you eat! If you think once you start track/lacrosse again youll cut down then carry on bulking but do some research on the types of foods you need to take in

    Regarding the bulk question, I think bulking to about 15% body fat then cutting to 8-12% is the way to go. That way you don't put on incredible weight that is too hard to lose.

    Lately my foots been hurt so i don't really do much cardio at all I think thats why I gained so much weight in little time one my foots back up I'll be doing some track workouts etc so it'll even out

    I used to think I wanted to gain 1-2 pounds a week lol but I honestly think gaining a few pounds a month is good so you keep fat gain to a minimum. I do 5-15 minutes cardio about 5 times a week (at around a 6 minute mile) but my metabolism is incredibly incredibly fast so no matter what bulk I go on I hardly gain weight lol
