Some people (me) hate squats, some people (you) hate deads.
Got me wondering about your back and your daily driving. For me, my wife's car destroys my back in 30 minutes. But my truck, I can do hours as needed. Do you have a good setup in your driver's seat?
Oh, and most importantly, that chix made me hungry!! :slobber.jpg

I was 39 mate.
I have considerable lower back DOMS today. Nice feels. But I am pretty much wired to keeping it low on Deads day where accessories come Dave. Cheers.
Tried Sumo. But tbh. My pull is ok. I am able to potato over 3 plates. But even on low weight. My lower back gets achy from the hinge. No trap bar here.
Flounder is playing on his swing in the field he calls a garden. Cheer Robert.
I aint gonna chuck them out. Will keep plugging. Just like to moan. Everyone knows DNG likes a moan.
Cheers buddy. I read your PM. I am coming into reply mode sometime tonight or tomorrow my good pal. My form is dandy. Honestly. I could not possibly get any tighter with such poverty weight.
I am just feeling abuse from lack of movement in early life.
They are.
Still poverty.
Breathing trick is clever. It is dont feking breathe until the set is over. srs. If I do need to draw breath. I will then re rack and get tight again.
I am not able to brace my core correctly with the bar on my upper chest. I use the breathing technique you see in Norwichgrads vids. For all my sets now.
Cheers mate. Gym looking sexy.
I don't put no pressure on myself for PRs either Ron. They will come when they are ready. No hurry. As long as I balls to wall my main session. I know it will come again.
Harry will get a high five from Ron as soon as he wakes from his mid morning snooze.
Thanks Steve. Bench today. Lack of sleep. But will give it full potato at about 3pm.
Cheers Hammer.
Don't hold ya breath. Cos if you do while waiting. You may never draw another one.
Yup. I could of easily adjusted my numbers to hit around 6 or 7 on my plus 5 days. But I managed to get to around cycle 6 before a minor stall last run. So this should keep me sweet until about then.
Well. We shall see what my bench and squat figures come out at first. lol.
I am sucking it right up John. It is just a PITA kind of feel after the session is done.
We are dead hating buddies. I like it.
Fixed for ya mate. That is honestly all it is.
I honestly don't spend my life in the car mate. I know some who virtually live in theirs. But I do this so I can come and go as I please and see Harry and Anna whenever I feel like it.
I get roughly 4 and a half days a week in. But TBH. I should really say 4 days because Saturdays I am usually only out for 3 or 4 hours at best.
You seldom get me doing much more than 35 hours mate. 40-42 at a very greedy push.
My seat is not in the cruise position. I sit upright and often squeeze shoulders together so as to drive upright.
It is a Skoda Superb. So it is not too shabby for seat positioning.
Workout on the whey later tonight.Ride it like you just stole it.

Good Bench Day Doughnut and I'm happy to see the push pull going on....I think you'll see that your shoulder issues will be gone the farther you take it into your training.....I'm surprised now how little I hurt for such simple things like push pull....

Cheers Steve. Feeling it today for sure.
I dunno mate. One wrong move on the bench and that loose single rep will pop my shoulder no matter what pulls I do. I did squat. lol.
Thanks Ron.
Fixed
Really impressed with that 65kg x 12 Leigh and love that EMOM ... pecs and tris must've felt smashed
I am pretty much going with 10 for the plus set. The 2 really were filthy. Filthier than a casting couch Brazzers bird.
Them dumbbells were feeling manly. But shamefully were like toothpicks with polos on the end. Not pink, no. But I can increase with the 1.25 plates they have here by just holding them.
Yeah. I suppose it is easier to get a good session in when it is bench. Dunno why though.
Cheers Shawn. Nice new gym toy BTW.
Cheers guys.
And very clever post there mate. It is strange how the Plus set brings the lower back for me anyhow. Into play. The last 4 reps were very VERY exhausting on the back. Even with a belt.
My benching is slow decent on the working sets and touch n go on the plus set. No bouncing allowed. I want the 2 plates with correct ROM. Some day.
Cheers doughnut monster.
x 2.2lb lol.
I google stuff all the time. But mainly end up with a screen full of titties.

PLUS SET = lol at 9th rep. Breathed and decided to pussy out. Had to readjust.
OK. Finally. Some food. Forgot to post Cod and chips from the coast. Fish was caught only hours before. Not a typical fried in cheap oil back street shed.
So I make you all aware. 39 years old. First pic looks like my face has melted. Well that is what you get with a young bairn LOL.
Also so most of you can compare and realize that YOUR progress can now be nodded at when comparing to my lack of gainz.
But I like to keep myself accountable.
Also note. None of these are flexed LOL. Like that matters.

For a guy who just took 6 months off and sits down for work you're doing pretty damn good. And if there's one thing that I miss possibly more than your bacon over there it's the fish and chips
And nice squatting of course.365 255 480 in April! ...2019

LOL. That was a Potato flex of peace. Cheers.
TBH Shawn. I am not even contemplating faffing about with weight reductions for the forseeable future. I know I am VERY FLUFFY. But I am just going to concentrate on progressing on the bar and eventually this year introducing more mild jogging. 5k a few times a week should be enough to keep my health together.
Already found the spot. The lamp post run/walk was how I managed to get to 10k a while back. But the 10k always fuked my body up due to gate, etc.
So 5 it will be.
Autumn is now upon us mate. No sun gets on this body. Mate. My image issues are bad enough posting on here. Let alone anyone else IRL seeing my bloody torso.
Aged 200 years since Harry's birth.
Bacon here is argued about all over this site. Muricans won't admit it. But mate. We are very lucky in that department. Fish. Cod actually, is very good here and as we live close to the sea. Sourced early and cooked that day.
As for the body. You are too kind. I know I am not in the best of shapes. Well for a blimp I am. But shrugs. Little insight.
I see this game as one that grips a lot of us folk and then has us hugely missing the overall goal altogether with the mirror and scale playing a huge part in the progress.
We want to get strong. The numbers are all that matter. We slow down in the PRs. Then decide that we look chubby. Start a deficit and get disheatrned by the numbers we have consistently chased, dropping.
So we get all fogged and lose the direction and starting goal we once had.
So for me at least. This time (injury pending, Touch wood) I will crack on. Get to a point of squeezing everything I can out of Wendler. Really putting focus on building myself a base.
This means that although looking great in a tshirt. Not so much without. That eventually. When the time comes. There will actually be no worry about the drop in numbers. As long as I balls to wall with diet and training. I will keep as much of the hard earned mass that I can.
Then the obvious. Looking like DYEL in a tshirt.
Vicious circle. But one I now have total control over.
TL/DNR. But inevitably, it's the truth.Ride it like you just stole it.

Mate,
Those squats were outstanding! That's how it's done..
I had to turn down my laptop's volume. Not because of the crappy music, but because so I can feel and see your awesomeness on the screen..
Well done..This above all..

Cheers Ron. The quayside opens early for the fish market. Restaurants and the like get there for the good stuff. This place is bang in the middle of the fish market. So it can't come any fresher. Plus the place is a fortune in comparison to most places but the queue is mindblowing.
I am a big fan of mushy peas as well.
I am in a pretty happy place in comparison to my past dude. So I will keep the late thirties thanks.
Cheers mate.
You are far far too kind winkle.

Sorry Ive been away from the log; getting started with school again, I've basically only had time to do my log.
Anyways; I second that maybe you should look into Sumo pulls. depending on ROM of several things (hips, ankles etc) it may be better for you. I switched to sumo just before my accident, and the only time I get lower back doms is when my form is the issue now. I always found that conventional was more stressing on the low back.
A cue that Mike Wines taught me that has helped me a ton (less stressing on the low back). "Think of the deadlift as a push, not a pull. Focus on pushing the ground away, NOT pull the bar up" - Mike Wines"Weights, Plates... Determining My own Fate": http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=164857211

That was a nice tight form on the squats…I should be so lucky.
Also, nice job on the benching from a few days ago. Sometimes volume helps get over sticking points.
Jelly on the fresh fish. I'm smack dab in the middle of the US. Only fresh fish is bass or catfish, neither of which I'm overly fond of. When I travel for work to the coasts I usually gorge myself on seafood.
We do have awesome beef here though…...Eric
