    why eat rice?

    Can anyone please explain why eating rice is good for building muscle?

    It isn't "good" or "bad" for bodybuilding. It's just a food, but some folks that don't know anything about nutrition and physiology think it has special properties.

    i probably ate 4 or 5 cups of rice yesterday with my food...love rice...

    but to answer your question its just calories, wouldn't think that it matters for muscle

    It's inexpensive, is easily prepared a million different ways, has a good micronutrient profile, and IMO, tastes good.

    I had orzo for the first time last night. OMG, it was the best thing EVARR!!! I no longer have to choose between pasta and rice. I now have pastarice!

    This. Good source of complex/simple carbs depending on the rice, easy calories, and can be mixed with just about anything.
