SOTD: Burberry London
probably my daytime signature fall scent this year. Good stuff, not sure why this stuff doesn't get much love on here when it's so cheap.

lol, 4 polo shirts >>>>> Cuba Gold but i don't think it's worth it anyways to ship them back. They told me i had to pay like 18 to return all the shirts i had so i just kept it. I still think Cuba Gold is the greatest poverty cologne and Mont Blanc Individuel comes second.

Rejection is part of life and if you go around avoiding it, then you aren't going to realize everything this universe has to offer. The quick, sharp pain of rejection you feel is a very momentary fleeting feeling that will disappear. The pain of "what if", however, can last a life time

Guys, I'm looking for a good versatile cologne to wear. I just ran out of my previous favorite (Hermes Terre d'Hermes) that I absolutely loved. I've been told to look at Creed Aventus or Tom Ford Tuscan Leather but both of those are so expensive. I guess I could justify the cost if they're THAT good, but I'm looking for something to wear on the daily, a new signature scent if you will. Also, where should I purchase scents from? I'm looking for a good website. I'd also be interested in ordering samples. Thanks!

Finally found one of the cheaper Guerlains that I've been searching for - I was able to get a 100mL for just $55OTD. Guerlain Coriolan. http://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/G...olan-2288.html. Released in 1998 but quickly discontinued and repackaged into a bee bottle for several times the price (and then into a wood bottle?). Still available on eBay for reasonable price but shipping always ruined the deals.
(Not my photo)
SOTD was 2 sprays Azure Lime + 1 spray Neroli Portofino.Misc Cologne Crew

If you want to buy full bottles I'll let others give suggestions...I don't have enough experience with designers to know whats good. But you can also buy decants, which are small amounts of a fragrance, and then you can buy more expensive stuff without breaking the bank. (So 10ml of Aventus is like $18 or something.) If you decide to go this route then you can have a variety of fragrances without going broke. If you're interdested in this I'll offer some suggestions.

People do splits in here occassionally. (A split is the dividing of a fragrance into portions -- the portion bottled into an atomizer is called a decant.) Check out OP for more info. I forget who's splitting what right now. Also join FB group Fragrance Guru Nation...a lot of splits go on in there. Standard price for a sample is $3/0.7ml. Keep that in mind when buying samples.
If you think you can make your mind up as to whether you like a cologne or not right off the bat, then it might be better to look into samples; if you think you might need some more time to decide, get some 5-10ml decants. Going the sample route = more knowledge of what you like/dislike, but less cost effective. Going the decant route = more cost effective but less knowledge of what you will learn that you like/dislike.
If you wanna hop right in I can give you a quick suggestion. Check out Terri on ebay (tsutherland9) (shes legit, her FB page is Decadent Decants). Get these from her 1ml niche sample auction.
Creed Aventus
Creed Green Irish Tweed
Creed Virgin Island Water
Thierry Mugler A*men Pure Havane
Thierry Mugler A*men Pure Malt
Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille
Guerlain Tonka Imperiale
Edit: On second thought maybe just check out m323's sig hes got a lot of good stuff. dunno how small of decants he does though.Last edited by CRyan64; 10-12-2013 at 04:37 PM.

I'm trying out Charles street right now and it smells just like Tuscan leather except way weaker. I got a bad spray off the atomizer so I'll give it another try next time and I'll give it a full wearing. I just think tl > Charles street so far and that's mostly based off performance.

Just ordered Pomegranate Noir, should be here in a week or so. Anyone tried it here? I sampled it a week or so ago and along with the other Jo Malones the scent is probably one of, if not the most natural one I've tried.
