I started my first internship in my late teens in order to break in to the music industry. I did at least 4-5 summer internships during my student days. Most were unpaid. These summer internships helped me break in to the career path I'd always wanted, helped me bring a lot of goals and dreams to life and my final unpaid internship even led to a paid job on a Rolling Stones tour. I don't regret a minute of any of those internships and have always recommended that others try to get those same types of opportunities.Summer holidays are coming, and you can catch good opportunity -summer internships 2013 to train yourselves.
From summer internship,I conclude that real life experience is better than classroom experience. The greatest lecturers and the greatest textbooks cannot replace the education that comes from real life, hands-on experience. And that real life experience through an unpaid internship is a lot cheaper than paying for classroom experience. Sure, the unpaid internship costs you your time and the opportunity cost of taking a job that will pay you money. You can look for a summer internship in China<www。。。nextstepconnections.com/>,large cities like Shanghai and Beijing.
Time invested into a good internship is invaluable. And as for that opportunity cost, if there was a job someone wanted that was going to pay them money and set them up well for their future, I'm sure they would take it over the internship. But how many organizations have budgets to hire people who have no experience doing anything? Bussing tables at Olive Garden between sophomore and junior year is more likely - and that will help pay for the next year's textbooks and build some work ethic skills, but barring a goal of working in the restaurant business, it likely won't help to set things up for the future like a good unpaid summer internship<www。。。nextstepconnections.com/summerinternships> would.
