    well the way you asked the question sounds like your having trouble here let me help you

    raw deadlift = no straps, gloves, chalk or belt

    normal deadlift = a normal deadlift, all the above can be used

    edit: there are several types of deadlifts such as sumo and etc, raw basically means your not using any accessories to aid you during the lift

    This pretty much, although I'm fairly certain that using gloves/chalk doesn't make your lift non-raw. I think it only applies to equipment that will actually increase the amount you can lift or change the lift in some other way.

    straps, gloves, chalk or belt can be used on a raw deadlift. Raw means that a deadlift suit can not be used, that's the difference.

    Yup. different fed have different ways to consider what is and is not raw. Typically anything that does not assist you in actually doing the lift, like a suit, is considered raw.

    I'm looking at competing in the RPS this fall and they have two types of raw. Raw modern, which allows for knee wraps. Their raw classic is just belt and wrist wraps.

    Though I would consider knee wraps to be 'gear' as they alone can add 60+ lbs onto your squat

    First I have to say that the definitions change depending on which fed you are looking at.

    But as a general rule;

    Naked raw = no equipment of any kind including straps, belt and so on.

    Raw = non suited, ie. belt, straps is allowed

    Equipped = everything is allowed including suits.
