How do I acheive this look brahs? Hair is currently medium length but when it gets longer it's not wavy enough to achieve this, ie to slick it back a bit, it just becomes unruly. Any tips?

EDIT to embed:

Stop using shampoo/wash it less or use some matte paste mate. Will help it stay put without turning your hair into a helmet

I can only attest to the cream, but it does exactly what I wanted it to do. It's pretty cheap too, definitely worth trying out. great reviews for all of the different products (cream, wax, paste, etc.).

Did you just grow your hair straight out brah or did you have to get it trimmed along the way?


Been growing none out for a couple of months and it is in that messy in between stage.

I just let it grow, not even a trim. Get a headband, that's the best advice I received, you can just throw it on and leave the house in a morning when your hair would otherwise be stuck up all over the place. After about 9 months mine started to look alright and could tie it back at this point too

I'm just gonna get a standard short haircut so it can't be that bad. And if it is in one month my hair will have grown back anyway.

I went to a nice salon where all the barbers had ss cuts lol and it was $35 a haircut... no thanks Jeff.
