so obviously chad went mia, any cliffs?
i still check his blog weekly and honestly i don't think it's as good as it used to be.
reviews seemed to be getting shorter and he kept using words like "we" and "us" and "our".
has he like added more people to the site or what? don't get that part, at least tell us who "we" is.Iron & Ice Cream.

I think the pluralization is meant to refer to the fact that there are a number of guest reviews being featured these days rather than him generating all of the content himself. Not sure.
No reason for his departure seems to have been given in this thread. He was just gone one day as far as I can tell, which is fine. People come and go from forum communities all the time.

So you guys are saying you'd welcome a new ice cream review site?

The pretzel swirls in CBP are just ridiculous

I'm still around guys and check this thread quite often to stay updated. Stopped posting mostly because of the increase in drama that this thread started seeing.
Most of my posts are through Instagram now (@theicecreaminformant if you'd like to stay caught up), as it was just taking too much time to do here, ********, Twitter, etc.
Remember guys, I'm in no way a writer, photographer or website designer and this is not my day job. Just a guy that likes to eat and talk about interesting ice creams that happens to take pictures and write little blurbs about each. The usage of we/our started from the fact that I'm not the only doing a lot of these reviews. I get friends, family, strangers to assist with almost every one of my posts. Especially when I'm not bulking, there's no way I could put down the amount of ice cream I blog about. Reviews are getting shorter because 90% of people don't read them -- they come for the pictures. I'm guilty of doing this on quite a few review sites as well. Instead of going into extreme detail of each ingredient, I've started touching on things as a whole. I feel you can still get the gist of whether or not you'll enjoy what I'm reviewing.
With that said, anyone want to write a reader review for some JC's Pie Pops? First person to respond that has access to The Fresh Market and is willing to submit some pictures and a review gets a coupon for free box.

Pecan pie was aghhh for me. Way to sweet. Normally pecan pie is buttery and slightly sweet, but this was toffee sweet. Sickly sweet to me. The vanilla is alright, but I wouldn't waste your money on it because there's better vanilla bases out there. The coffee is strong and sweet. Kind of like a Vietnamese iced coffee if you've ever had one. You definitely want something to balance the flavor out.

Have yet to find CBP here in MA which is disappointing. Especially since Vermont is like an hour or so away. Went to Shaws and Stop and Shop a couple times now but nothing =(. Want that swirl

I came here to say exactly the same thing. I couldn't really taste the pretzel swirl when I had it from the scoop shop, but it is all over my pint and is definitely my favorite part. I'm going to have to get a couple more pints while its on sale.
Yes! Should be a great resource since you put down so much ice cream and try so many different flavors.

Could not find CBP again tonight and the B&J website shows no stores anywhere near me. I guess a drive into the city it is on Sunday. Instead for tonight I had to "settle" on Jeni's Salty Caramel. You know have issues when you settle on a $14 pint of ice cream.
