Finally got around to the new Jeni's Splendid Westside Provisions Scoop Shop in Atlanta.
Tried several limited/seasonal flavors as well as several year round flavors.
Loveless Biscuits and Peach Jam: A definite must try. Very Unique A
Cloverton and Red Currant: REALLY surprised me! Better than the Goat Cheese and Red Cherries A-
Toasted Sweet Potato: Pretty much what I thought it would be. Huge sweet potato fan. Wish I would have bought a pint of this A
Middle West Whiskey Eggnog: Did not expect to like this. Ended up buying a pint of it. Very strong cinnamon, nutmeg, clove flavors. B+
Salty Caramel: Pretty decent. Burnt caramel flavor. I like Steve's version better. (Lady said this was their best seller) B
Torrone: Surprised me as well. White Chocolate, honey, and almonds. Worth a try since it's seasonal B
White Chocolate Peppermint: One of the best peppermint ice creams I have tried. The white chocolate base was really good. B+
Queen City Cayenne: Wow. much spicier than I had imagined. Very unique. I wish there was something more to this flavor. Maybe a graham swirl or nuts or something. Huge fan of spice. B
Cherry Lambic Sorbet: The texture was very good. Strong cherry flavor. B
Ended up buying a pint of Loveless Biscuits, Queen City Cayenne, and Whiskey Eggnog. Can't wait to go back!!

I'd be all over it if the pretzels were salted or if the peanut butter was.
As it stands I think late night snack is the better salty/sweet flavor. Rich vanilla bean base coupled with that salty swirl and those salty potato chip clusters= win. It just has more pop to it.

2nd Street Copper Kettle Caramel
All I can say is WOW!!! I’m generally not the biggest caramel fan, but d*mn. This mops the floor compared to Talenti SSC. It is hands down better IMO. The caramel ice cream is very sweet and the mix-ins are literally everywhere. The caramel ribbon was distributed evenly throughout the entire pint and further adds to the sweet notes of caramel. When I first opened the pint, I thought that all of the sea salt caramel fudge truffles were going to be at the top because there were so many. Not the case at all, as the pictures show that the truffles were pretty much in every spoonful. They were the perfect consistency offering a chocolate/caramel crunchiness that mixed quite well with the caramel base. I also have Truck Stop Fudge and Tons Of Brownies in the freezer. If these 2 pints are anything like Copper Kettle Caramel then I’m in for a real treat because this is easily one of my favorite ice creams to date.

I have a very high metabolism, which I personally dislike, but I eat boxes of the Kirkland ice-cream. I haven't found better ice cream anywhere, it ruins every other brand.

Went and got a few more tubs....Ok more then a few.....I got me 6 more tubs of this since it was on sale...#winterbulk LOL...one of my favorite ice creams, last time I ate the entire tub in one sitting. Since I'm running a half marathon tomorrow I had to exercise some self control. For me this is an EASY B+/A
pretty good size chunks of peppermint bark all about the size of a dime to quarter.

While I agree that CKC is AMAZING, I cant agree with this. I love the base of SSC, and actually enjoy how its not overloaded with mixins like CKC (which I normally prefer more mixins). As much as they are the same, I see them as two separate items. Feel like a creamy lush salty caramel base with an occasional flavor and texture change? SSC is your go-to. Feel like a thick, everchanging indulgent ice cream option? CKC. Both fantastic, but personal preference...so I dont see CKC as being hands down better. That being said...Id be content if these were the only frozen options in my freezer.

I can agree with this for sure.. I think I enjoyed CKC more because of the many mix-ins (typically what I prefer as well).. I think it also has to do with a thicker base compared to the softer gelato! Therefore, I definitely agree with you saying personal preference.. Point taken and respected!

Haagen Dazs Peanut Butter Pie
I'm a big peanut butter fan. Love this ice cream, tastes like a big scoop of creamy peanut butter, its sweet but definitely carries the appropriate nuttiness and salty taste. The taste is spot on, my only complaint comes from the overall texture. Mix ins are great, but I could have used a thicker more toothsome swirl. Pie pieces are exactly like you'll find in any prepackaged chocolate pie crust, wish they were a little chewier like brownie pieces but I know its a pie ice cream. Still, one of my favorites just because I love peanut butter and the base is solid. My severe lactose intolerance is making me one very very envious person right now! I love the taste of ice cream (being a born and raised Wisconsinite) but since my early 20's have not done well at all with cheese, ice cream, milk or yogurts. Plain fat free Greek yogurt and some brands of cottage cheese are all I can hack anymore without going into gas/bloat city for almost a day. God's little curse on me I guess......lol! Good pictures lately guys and gals!

Ya mine was definitely better, the girlfriend couldn't finish her sundae, and I just couldnt let it goto waste...I mean throwing away any ice cream, other then breyers blast's ice creams, should be a sin.
And yes Gigi I'd like to point out that yes apparently I am a peppermint/peppermint bark aholic, is that a bad thing?Runner Crew (48.6 miles Dopey Challenge -- Completed)
