Talenti Caramel Cookie Crunch

Texture is excellent, but the vanilla is bland. Cookie pieces too small, though the caramel swirl was muy bueno. B-

Ben and Jerry's Boston Cream Pie

This was... interesting. I mean, I don't think I'll bother with it unless I'm jonesing for ice cream and it's the only thing left. The base was super sweet, the cake pieces were super dry, the chips were very small and very few, and the "swirl" was just barely distinguishable from everything else.

I kept wishing there was something else- something crunchy or something salty to make this pop, but there wasn't anything and by the time I reached the bottom I just felt... well, not like I had eaten a pint that was 1k calories- I could have scooped BCG, and I wish I had.

Safeway Cinnamon Churro - C

Cinnamon base? Churro pieces? How could this go wrong? Well In a few ways. When I opened the pint I was excited, I mean the flavor itself sounds unique for ice cream and who doesn't like churros? So I take a bite. The base for being cinnamon is very subtle. In the previous container I purchased from Safeway the caramel base in that flavor was very subtle as well. I'm guessing its how they do things.

I snag a churro piece in my next bite. Sadly for some odd reason it's almost as if it has the exact same taste and unbelievably the same texture as the base. It's almost as if the ice cream and the churro pieces are one in the same. It's a very strange thing indeed and it's the first occurance I've had happen in any ice cream before.

With a flavor theme of huge potential I wish it would have landed a home run. This is my second Safeway taste test and although both flavors I've had have received C's I still have hope that they have a hidden gem amongst the extremely appealing sounding ice cream flavors. Hopefully one taste as delicious as its sounds.

Don't get me wrong it's still enjoyable and tastes good id agree with you but just felt with a theme like that it should have been exceptionally good. I think if it was executed as a premium that could have done the trick. Maybe just high hopes for the concept I guess.

I never buy ice cream because I'd rather not have so much fat and sugar at once. However, I do make my own frozen yogurt. I just use plain Greek yogurt, and enough almond milk to reach the desired consistency. The amount varies depending on what brand of yogurt I use. Then I add some kind of extract (i.e. vanilla, lemon) and sweetener, usually a tiny bit of agave nectar but honey works just fine too. If I want chocolate frozen yogurt, I add cocoa powder until the mixture looks chocolatey enough. If I'm making a lot, I'll use my ice cream maker, but for a single serving I'll use my Slushy Magic.

I'm thinking of sending a Slushy Magic along with my frozen yogurt recipe (more specific than written above) to my favorite fitness guru. I'm such a fangirl -_-

Haven't had sherbet for a long while. My buddy is into the Haagen Daaz Sorbet and Turkey Hill Sherbet. He's been hitting those up for the past few weeks lol

I've loved Red Velvet forever, but B&J's red velvet is meh. Milk and Cookies is the tits.

I haven't had either, but wanna try both. Milk and Cookies cuz it simply sounds like a perfect combo and also gets good reviews, and RVC cuz like you, I'm a sucker for Red Velvet anything... haha Whatever u choose let us know! (if RVC, let me know whether its good enough to rescoop or if i would get just as much satisfaction of RV from my sludge that I make... and a lot more protein!)
