All this new flavor talk about BNJ is mad cool. The two before mentioned flavors sound actually really good as opposed to what they rolled out as of recently. Pretty excited about all that.

IMO just stop reviewing lower calorie/non-traditional options if you are just going to dog them. Nothing wrong with having a palate that prefers the better/higher end product, but buyers are choosing the lower cal options for a reason...and it isn't to compete taste wise with high end ice creams. IMO you should start another category on your site and review things like this on an equal scale.

Your readers looking for a lower cal option don't care how say Blue Bunny holds up to 2nd ST, they want to know how it tastes all things considered. IMO it's not enough to give something a C but somewhere in the review say "it's decent though considering...". If you dislike the lower options too much to do so, just avoid reviewing them altogether. Just my thought.

I agree to a certain extent. It wasn't mind-blowing as a low calorie option either. If it was it would have gotten an A.

Whenever I rate something a C people assume it's no good, which just isn't true.

Plus, like I've said before, my rankings are completely subjective. I try to provide enough pictures and descriptions to let the reader formulate their own opinion as to whether or not they'd enjoy the flavor.

Also: Scooped Chocolate Therapy tonight. Was in a chocolate mood, and it delivered. Could have used a mix-in to differentiate the ice cream from the cookie pieces, even though they were delicious and welcome. B+

I do not understand the link between the two. Not trying to give you crap or anything; just genuinely curious as to what I'm missing.

The link between Willie Nelson and the Jenni flavor is that they are both southern-themed premium ice creams with peaches and a mix-in that's white flour based.


The link between the Jeni flavor and peanut butter brownie is that they're both scoop shop exclusive flavors that were released in the last week or so.

Pecans
2rice crispies ( fresh baked not generic) and cut into 1/4s
Handful yogurt covered raisins
Handful choc covered raisins
Mr big chocolate bar broken up

= holy ,, no words to describe much better then cold stone, dq but Ben and Jerry's comes close lol

Finally found a place that carries 2nd street! It's a gas station so unfortunately it's $4.99/pint. Ended up buying Truck Stop Fudge and Black Hill Strawberry Rhubarb. Gonna try strawberry rhubarb tonight.

Edit- your in the UK I didn't see that. I would say best bet for BNJ peanut butter cup or cherry Garcia for chocolate pieces.

Yooo, that has to be $100 worth.

But as you said, worth it. Let us know how the sorbet tastes as it sounded interesting but I wasn't going to pay $12 for something that I wasn't sure of.

Well folks, Graeter's did NOT disappoint me last night! Finished off my pint of PB Chocolate Chip and these two MONSTER "chips" were both buried in the bottom half! Saved them til the end to take a picture and also to see how they tasted on their own. I was blown away that these things were solid chocolate and the closest thing I could compare their taste to was like a Dove or Godiva Milk Chocolate Bar! Soooo incredibly smooth and a huge addition to this ice cream. Definitely gotta scoop others by Graeter's after an awesome first experience. Can't wait to try Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip especially!


And that concludes the summer, heading back down to school as I type this. Very limited/if any freezer space so at most I will try to have a pint stocked, but I'll still frequent the thread for sure so keep posting! Take it easy ICE MEN!
