facial changes with weight loss

I know this is talked about in general throughout other threads, but for people recently dieting, did you notice any major changes? By dropping from the 30s to 25% I did see my face shape become more defined and I have an idea of what I will look like at 10-12%. I am not expecting anything dramatic but am hoping to make some progress if possible. What did you guys experience? My face doesn't seem to store that much fat but it's hard to tell until you actually cut down.

Shaving becomes a pain at 10% , so many dents and bones to work around. Takes like twice as long to shave now to get all the hair that hides below cheek bones etc.

From 30% bf to 15% I saw major changes. If you want an example check out my bodyspace pics. My face looks completely different.

Hell I saw changes from 20-10. Cheekbones and jawline get more prominent. I like it tbh.

I've seen transformation pics where I could hardly recognize that the faces were the same persons.

In actuality, my face looks better IMO @ 15-20% vs ~10% BF. Lean, cheeks are kinda sunken, veins in temples, blablabla.

I noticed a change in me from 35 to 20, my face was a big round oval at 35 and the real shape started to show, I am hoping for the 10-15 range to give me more defined cheeks and jaw

Just keep trucking! You'll start to notice changes soon as long as you keep at it

Your face is so important when making a first impression. It's first thing people see and like it or not everyone will judge you based on appearance. Unfortunately for me my face is the first to gain and the last lose weight.

Now I'm not fat my face is long and i have a huge forehead and it looks massive.

I noticed and a heck of a lot of my peers noticed the change. Also, my neck looks a lot beefier too now lol. I finally have a jawline and a tiny double chin compared to when I was 216. I still have roughly 25lbs of fat that I would like to lose but so far I have noticed a big change in face and neck and everywhere else.

did your neck size increase? Mine is 14.5" and small

God yea. At 400lb you couldn't see my ears because my cheeks hid them. Now at 278 I still have a slight double chin and you can see my ears again. Huuuuuuuuuuge difference. Can't wait to see what I look like under 200lb.

I noticed a big change from 25% bf to high teens. Mid teens not so much. Now that I am entering low teens I think it's getting leaner.

I hear the major changes take place at 7-10%.

Definitely different. Me, mostly I look older and more mature due to more visible cheekbones (which is good--at higher body fat levels I'm mistaken for my teenaged students, which I don't always appreciate). I find that facial leanness is also a good gauge, for me, of overall leanness--when my face looks TOO gaunt, time to stop cutting. If I'm getting pinchable cheeks, I'm probably edging over 20% bf and want to lose a couple of pounds.

Human beings devote a ton of brainpower to facial recognition, so we're really sensitive to subtle changes in facial configuration. I think we use clues like leanness in the face to judge overall health, since that's generally the first thing we look at when we meet a new person. Generally speaking when you look good facially your body is likely in a good place, as well.... though there are always those weird people who have great cheekbones and are overweight! So jealous of that.

For me it is a huge difference... my face gains first and is the last to lose like one of the previous posters... I like my face much better when lean so periods where I'm eating to try and add mass are a bit frustrating for me... ~20-13% is a huge difference in my face.

For me, when I was fat, I found it a pain as the surface was soft.

Now, it's easy (took me years to figure it out though, mixed race hair loves to grow inwards).

Facially, anywhere over 20% and I look like a puffer fish, but to be honest, after a few binge days now and again, I get seriously bloated facially.

No. I went from 17.5 to 16" but it just looks more toned especially after shoudler day. It just looks leaner/toned.
