    Is Glyoco-Maize worth it?

My gym is selling it for 34 bucks and I never looked up any reviews about it. I'm currently on DoggCrapp powebuilding routine so my muscles could use what's in it along with a scoop and a half of whey. Let me know if it's a solid product

Personally, I get a better response from dex/malto compared to glyco-maize.

It also tastes like chalk. Just imagine.... drinking chalk... mmmmm

Powder carbohydrates, meant to be mixed with a liquid, and hence, liquid carbohydrates are useful when you are bulking and cannot eat more solid food. Another use is for convenience, for instance when you are in a hurry, whereby a quick carbohydrate drink would be more appropriate. They are expensive as compared to some calorie-rich foods such as bread.
For post-workout glycogen replenishement, any carbohydrate source, solid or liquid will do. No need to look for 'fast-absorbing carbohydrates'. In fact, I think eating a loaf of bread is more appropriate than drinking a shake of waxy-maize or maltodextrin. If you still think you need some carbohydrate in liquid form, just use dextrose which is cheap. If you have the money, then get maltodextrin, and mix it with some dextrose and your whey in water.

I have CytoSport CytoCarb 2, would that work? Or just spend the few bucks on some dextrose?

CytoCarb II, according to its label, contains mainly maltodextrin. Hence, it will 'work', unless the label is fradulous. I have seen many posts whereby the posters say they like to mix maltodextrin and dextrose at a certain ratio (probably 1:1) for post-workout usage.

Alright sounds good, dextrose is pretty cheap so I'll pick some up. Thanks

Carbs supplements as a whole are not worth the price, unless you're a marathon runner or doing some serious endurance work.
