Aware me on Fraternities

OP is Indian and knows nothing about frats other than what's shown in movies (guys standing naked in the snow)

Went to college orientation yesterday and talked to many clubs and fraternities.

One fraternity of Indian bodybuilders wanted me to join (especially the president) so we talked for 30 minutes about the frat

Out of all the frats these guys were the most aesthetic

They said they're dominant in the gym and have gym hours, study hours, great parties, high GPAs, fundraisers etc

Overall they seemed really cool and I'm interested in joining at the start of my Freshman year

Some Questions:

Is all the hazing stuff they show in movies true?
Will i be able to still get good grades if i join?
How much time does it usually take up each week?
Would they make me skip a class for some event/reason?
Did anyone regret joing a frat?

Any other input would be appreciated

If you like the bros join it. Indian frat at my school drinks a lot and get no girls.... Brothers aren't really Cool either so I didn't join it but going to rush again. What school u going to

Yeah, they are very time consuming. But they are lots of fun! Great way to meet people and they are also good for networking.

Hazing builds brotherhood between you and you're pledge brothers and it's tradition. OP search up about fraternities somewhere else bc you'll get a huge biased here

You will get hazed. It will suck. It will bond your pledge class so hard you'll actually believe these kids are your family.

You'll have mandated study hours (especially if the frat is recognized by the school) they want you to get good grades. You're no use to them if you flunk out.

It will take up a decent amount of time. Expect like 5-10 hours a week not including parties. If your frat is national there's a lot of charity work involved.

If they ask you to skip class, unless it's hell week you can basically tell them to phark off. Don't skip class. If it's while pledging it's srs not a big deal to skip class unless you have a project or a test. Some prof even understand or just don't care. If it's a really big deal though just tell your big and he'll defend you to the other brotards.

Your frat is your family at school. You slay bishs together. You hit the gym and have some pretty close bonding spot seshes. You guzzle the booze like it's your job. You get to wear cool greek letters on campus that show all the non greek girls how alpha you are compared to every other dude.
