Have to give my dog away misc (srs)

My dog has always lived with me. I'm moving into a new apartment complex and I assumed since they allow pets, my dog could stay with me again like she did last year. Turns out she's considered a dangerous breed just because of her markings (black lab with the rottweiler eyebrows). My parents are moving to another state and the house they rented doesn't allow dogs. I have to find a home for her by the end of the month or take her to a rescue. I've had this dog for 7 years, gonna miss the fuk out of her. Such a well behaved and sweet dog, if only the complex managers could meet her.

Can't do anything about getting a new apartment. Already signed the lease and if I back out now I'll have to pay over $3000.

I gave my basset hound away 6yrs ago cause the new place I rented did not allow pets. I wish I would have found another place cause I miss him every day. Don't get rid of your dog OP or you will regret it.

OP, I let my dog clean out my pans too, saves so much water. Just let them lick it clean then put it right back in the cupboard.

EDIT: this is my dog i adopted so dont tell me i cant relate. they have an even worse reputation. you knew your dog was a rott mix when you got it so you have to handle the responsibility.

You can always get it certified as a "companion" animal, there are a lot of places that will do all the work for like $100.

I had to get my shoulder fixed and I wanted a dog, so I had a doc sign off that the dog would be beneficial to my recovery (srs). All you have to do is find doc who likes dogs and explain your living situation.

Even something like headaches can qualify you to have a service dog.

Your little buddy gets a special tag/collars and you are good to go.

Lived for 2 years in a pet free complex with an 80 pound dog.

What a beauty...looks like my ole man back in his younger days a bit. Lost him Dec 2012 to cancer - 14 YO....best dawg I ever had!!! Good luck with that pup!

There's nothing I can do about it. I already signed the lease months before I found out my parents would be moving to a different state. I can't back out of the lease without paying over $3000. Right now I plan on sneaking her into the complex and having her live with me in secret, though if I'm caught I'll still have to pay the rest of the lease. My parents and I have moved into 4 different homes since being in America and we've taken her everywhere. So don't give me that bullchit

A ton of people have pets that aren't allowed at rentals...including me.

Not a big deal.
I'd keep the dog still at the house.
