1. Eating right ("clean") freqently (6-8 small meals) throughout the day
2. Drinking plenty of water
3. Hitting the gym a minimum of 3 times a week. ( I say gym becuase it includes cardio and weight training)
I am not a trainer, but through experiance, removing one of the 3 points above will slow any process down (cutting or bulking)
Its like the fire triangle: remove one of the three, you have no fire!

I posted in this thread earlier and it seems to have been deleted :/ well my tips are get 7-10 hours of sleep per night, eat clean, drink plenty of water to flush the system, I personally lift 4 days a week and practice (collegiate athlete) 3 more days a week in the summer, so I eat A TON of chicken and rice/veggies. Also frequently reading various articles on new supplements as well as finding out as much as you can about various foods helps!
