It only took me about 4 months to gain 40 lbs, I was dirty bulking , dirty bulking helped me a lot , i had the chance to try and experience with different types of diets , I could have gone higher than 180 lbs but felt i was getting a lil fat so decided to cut , I learned a lot about diet and foods during my dirty bulk , so now i'm experienced enough to do a lean bulk after i finish cutting, gaining weight was easy , all i had to do was count calories and eat above maintenance level at a calorie surplus ( it can get quite expensive tho ) , well it took me about two to three months to lose 15 lbs, I had trouble following my diet because i was craving food , so one day i would be 165 lbs and the next day 170 lbs and than after a few day back to 165 than the next day back to 170 lbs been doing that for about 3 months , and I also noticed that i gained some muscle during that process , now I'm planning on sticking with the diet and reaching single digits
