248 this morning, tho i think thats a bit high as i went out for a family dinner 2 nights ago and had another case of the f*ckits lol .... all was good, scale was flat for a day, and now back to my downward progression.

Also beginning to think of ways to incorporate regular workouts while on this low of a diet. Whetehr i should just double the portion of my lean&green, or should i just add a prot shake, or what. Ill figure it out
    Make it a great day!

Amazing that it's working for you mate congratulations.! If you don't mind could I set you a challenge for a week? Substitute one meal for one you make yourself and keep the calories the same, one isn't much and you will still see results if it goes wrong and you will
Learn alot aswel and feel better as you did it

Thanks bro! Been waiting for 3 pages for someone to actually say they were happy for me, rather than tear the concept apart regardless of current results lol.

I have done what you said, and def pick up what your puttin down ... I often replace one of their meals with a meal from chinese place. Steamed Shrimp & Broccoli, and use oodles of hotsauce and garlic sauce. The contents and calories are a BIT higher than their meals, but its about in line, and i typically still lose.

Now today im 243 and closer to -50lbs, i sneak in a few bites here and their of food i get for my daughter, regardless of what it is ... it does not seem to impact my loss terribly. Im learning to sneak in more and more stuff that i actually enjoy/miss, yet keep it under control.
    Make it a great day!

This thread is hilarious. Congrats on your weightloss man, but I'm not sure what to think. This whole thread screams paid advertisement to me. My apologies if I am wrong, but you can understand why it would read that way (dodging questions, capitalizing each "phase", constantly defending the program, etc). If you were a '13 join date I would be 100% convinced.

I guess i see why you can think that, but seriously? lol

I defend the program when asked questions about it directly. I havent posted any referral links or signup links or anything. I really just wanted to document my progress.

Medifast is not a new, or small program ... I doubt they need to do small time gimmicks such as this hehe.

But thanks for the recognition! Wife is suggesting i go down to about 225'ish before transitioning off and heading into the gym.
    Make it a great day!

Normal? no. But it does make sense feeling a lack of "fuel" while in such an extreme caloric deficit doesnt it?

I feel otherwise healthy and normal, with the exception of when i exert myself.

of course it makes sense. But I don't know why you would want to make yourself so weak to lose weight at the same rate you could by raising your cals a bit and eating a better diet.

Wait.. you are only eating 900 calories at 6'2" and 240 lbs? I'm pretty sure even the most exercise/nutrition ignorant food pyramid pounding GP would slap the creators of this program. That is simply not healthy. My wife is 5'2", half your weight, and cutting on 1400 calories (combined with cardio and lifting heavy). I'm both significantly shorter and lighter, cutting on more than double your intake losing 2 lbs a week.

I dont see any way that you will be able to keep this weight off following such a severe crash diet, little own using pre-made foods that have not taught you how to adapt to this new life style. I'm pulling for you, but I think its time to transition to real food and start hitting the weights hard.

My boyfriend did this diet. He went from 200 pounds to 154 in 4 months. It's a quick weight loss program designed with meals made from 10 million ingredients (high protein low carb.)

When I asked him why he didn't just figure out his macros and go to the gym he said he's not motivated because he's so "big" and he "gets winded quickly" which is also unmotivating.

I said whatever, I wasn't going to argue. If it works, it works. Now that he's lighter he's going to the gym 3-4 times a week both weight lifting and cardio and eating the amount he's supposed to.

I seriously just had to sigh and let it go, baby steps are baby steps I suppose.

I'm both significantly shorter and lighter, cutting on more than double your intake losing 2 lbs a week.

I dont see any way that you will be able to keep this weight off following such a severe crash diet, little own using pre-made foods that have not taught you how to adapt to this new life style. I'm pulling for you, but I think its time to transition to real food and start hitting the weights hard.
this... even if you are having 600 cals for your lean and green meal thats only 1100 cals. no wonder you have no energy, you are eating less than half the amount of cals you should be eating to properly lose weight.

this program is just setting you up for failure down the road. none of it makes sense. you say meals 1-5 can be anything from a box (im assuming all their meals are boxed processed chit). and i think you said these consisted of shakes, cookie, brownie, bars, drinks etc. so its basically telling you, you can eat brownies 5 times a day, then 600 cals of chicken and broccoli... do you not see anything wrong with this...

now when you transition out of this diet you will think you can survive off cookies and brownies and one small meal per day and not have any issues down the road

Why people do these diets rather than just eating real food and training properly at the same time is beyond me.

because they are being told what to eat. they aren't capable of eating properly on their own. So they learn nothing for when the program is over.

Same reason people gain weight back after lapband/bypass surgeries. They don't LEARN what is right and wrong.

Yep. The weight goes back on pretty fast with everyone I've ever seen on these types of diets. Especially when the OP has a penchant for bingeing as evidenced by his last night before starting the diet. Maybe OP will be different and study proper nutrition during the diet and transition properly.

fukking lol at my google results

    http://www.consumeraffairs.com/nutrition/medifast.html

I have been on this plan for 5 months. I'm down 80 lbs and still losing. I did lose a lot of hair at first. Nothing that hasn't grown back, nothing that I worried about. Your body kinda goes into shock being that you only consume around 800-1000 calories depending on your lean and green daily.
. I also agree with another person who stated that the "food" is not really food, but some kind of GMO chemical concoction. Since being on the program, not only have I had no results, but I have had headaches, skin breakouts and extreme lethargy.
Yes, Medifast will help you lose the weight, but no one bothers to tell you that one of the main side effects is massive hair loss. I find the products to be poor quality and too expensive. I stopped the order just in time to realize that my hair was falling out.
Being on this diet has made me the most unhappy that I have ever been in my life because it makes me more hungry every time I eat the food. My health coach says the program works for everyone and it is endorsed and recommended by over 3 million doctors in the US.
Its actually sad how effective marketing is. Reading those comments those people clearly have zero understanding of basic nutrition... then they start suffering from malnourishment after CHOOSING and PAYING to malnourish themselves.

I've not lost any hair lol, and I don't think I have been unhappy. On diet since July 14 or so.

The only negative I can speak to, is the tired feeling when exerting myself.
    Make it a great day!

I say if it works for you and you feel okay keep at it until transition. Then its time to hit the gym and work on nutrition. Whats your goal weight?
