Taking a week off from lifting, is it recommended?
Last week I took off was probably 8 weeks ago.

The frequency of 'off time' would depend on the program you are running, but yes, many people deload.
You can deload in a variety of ways - complete rest; cut volume; cut weight; cut weight and volume; cross-train; etc
I would recommend a deload when your lifts start to stall or there is general fatigue/energy-loss when you train.Follow me on an enchanting adventure (My Log):

Have you seen the sticky? I know some people that have to deload at the end of every month because they lift such heavy weight, but I also know one person who can go months and months without a de-load even though they train like a maniac.
It is very dependent on you as an individual. Test around and see what time frame you are on."When God solves my problems, I have faith in his abilities. When He doesn't solve my problems, He has faith in mine."
Rep'n back every time. (100+)
