I really dont know, I havent done the research. I believe that private companies will be more efficient and effective than any govt ran operation. So what size and scope federal govt do you see as ideal?

That's a good question. Arriving at an answer would require a round table from people with knowledge and experience on this. And it would have to be a step by step thing, it wouldn't happen overnight. The first things I'd put on the chopping block would be a bunch of the social programs, a bunch of military spending, a bunch of overseas military operations, and a BUNCH of domestic federal LE operations (possibly all).

This is just a huge topic I think most of us are in way over our head trying to articulate what it should be offhand.

MFC brahs, we almost got in a big brawl last night at this sushi bar/night club. It started to get pretty dark in the establishment, which is normal and we don't care but you could just feel the tension in the air. So around midnight we were like mehhhh (Brazzersbrb was with me and another buddy) lets leave, so we're walking out after saying bye to our favorite bartender and the bouncers who are our buddies. At that very moment they were throwing some younger thugs out for not adhering to dress code (no sunglasses inside, no backwards hats) and they were throwin out race cards, trying to get us to fight and what not (less than half of us were white) and ****. They rolled by real slow in a tahoe and kept circling the building and what not, and then the cops came.

tl;dr - racial tensions were high as fu last night.

I think that case is a great example of how completely stupid mandatory minimum sentencing laws are.

However, I do think she dun goofed. She discharged a firearm and claimed self defense but not even she had statements indicating a reasonable fear of imminent serious bodily harm or death. Actually, it seems that according to what she said there was no reasonable fear of any imminent bodily harm, let alone serious. She was trying to scare the guy out of the house. The proper response would be to call the police and wait for them to sort it out. Arm herself if she wants in order to be prepared to defend herself if necessary, but I don't see how discharging the firearm could possibly have been necessary.

And the minimum mandatory of 20 years for having a firearm involved is just plain ****ing stupid.

I only looked into this so far, but I'd say charge her with assault with a deadly weapon, plead it down to something like brandishing/menacing, whatever, put her on probation at the most and move on.

Posted this the other night in night crew, some hippie in a FB argument tried to throw it in my face as the system being racist.

BRB warning shots not even once.
BRB dude has protective order against him and was going to beat her
BRB fired off shots indiscriminately with children near by, in a residential area. No target acquired.

BRB didn't accept 3 year plea deal, probably would have gotten out early, instead goes grand jury and gets mandatory minimum.

Its not a club in the traditional sense. IDK how to explain it. Its called chaucers if you've ever heard of it. The entire bouncer crew are our buddies (they've asked us to work there) and the bartenders are all our friends. This is in a nicer area of north dallas, so its not like its the thug crowd but yeah, it was kinda dumb to go out last night that wasn't the college bar district.

no we went because its where we always go. i've never seen a single person be thrown out, just nicely asked to leave. its really a sushi joint with a full bar and a dj on the weekends.

hey i posted this like 20 pages back but the link was broken so i'll post it again:

i purchased this hogue grip :http://www.amazon.com/Hogue-Rubber-A...ds=hogue+ak+47 for my saiga AK74.

after screwing the grip on as tightly as possible it is still kind of lose and wobbly. i originally had the typical ak grip but it was pretty small and i didn't really like it. i love the grip on the hogue but it just feels to flimsy. this is probably because it has only one bolt to hold it in place.(it came with a bolt) i don't know what its called but the part inside the receiver that you screw the bolt into is the same one i used with the previous grip... has anybody used this grip or have any advice on how to make it more reliable? it got really solid reviews on amazon so I didn't think i'd have an issue with it.

one suggestion was to make sure the piece in the receiver it screws into is secure and it is.

In regards to Caribbean heritage

The major ethnic groups that *still exist* today are people of primarily African descent, people of primarily European (Spanish, French, Dutch, English, Portuguese) descent, and people of primarily Asian (Indian, Chinese) descent. Many people are a mix of the above groups and most have Native mixed in

But sadly, the Native groups in the islands (Carib/Arawak, Taino, etc.) were basically wiped out. So, though a lot of people can claim Native ancestry, there isn't really as such a thing as a full-blooded Arawak anymore, so it can't be considered a major ethnic group.
