it's gonna suck waking up and sitting here waiting for the verdict if they end up deliberating for several days, lol.

The judge was probably picked by the Obama administration.

So how does deliberation work? Does the judge, defense and prosecution sit around at the court indefinitely until they reach a verdict?

I dunno if we're all gonna make it brahs.
A GLIMPSE AT THE JURY
Juror B29 is the sole minority on the jury panel. The mother of eight children, all but one younger than 18, works the overnight shift at a nursing home that cares for Alzheimer's patients. Before her recent move to Florida, she lived in Chicago, where she saw vendors selling T-shirts bearing an image of Martin's face.
Juror B37 is a mother of two who grew up in a military family and used to have a permit to carry a concealed weapon. She thinks most gun training is inadequate, and when asked her thoughts during jury selection on the right to bear arms, she told the judge, "I have an issue with what kind of arms they're allowed to bear."
Juror B76 is active in pet rescue and is the mother of two grown children. After working in a family construction business, she now manages family rental properties. She told the judge, "Our family's pretty open minded ... We like to base our judgment on the whole story."
Juror E40 has worked as a safety officer for 20 years. She is the mother of a grown son who recently moved to central Florida from Iowa. She told the judge she believes gun owners need to realize "there's a responsibility attached to bear arms."
Juror E6 is a mother of two who told the judge she transformed news of the shooting into a "teaching moment" that enabled her to talk to her children about "behavior that was safe, not that you're doing anything wrong, but be proactive ... don't put yourself in harm's way." She worked for a short time in financial services but is currently unemployed and enjoys gardening.
Juror B51 is single and retired from her job as a business manager overseeing 1,200 employees at a call center. In her job she became experienced with changing her mind when presented with new facts. She spends her free time visiting family. After initially hearing news of the shooting, she told the judge she was surprised that a neighborhood watch program would have someone taking as active a role as Zimmerman did. She said Zimmerman was in the wrong when he ignored a dispatcher's instruction to not follow Martin. "He didn't wait and the rest. We know what happened," she saidLife is easy when you take personal responsibility

No clue at all, I thought that's how it worked too; maybe case was so saturated in news, that the pool was definitely compromised, only options left were minimizing the exposure.
Could be grounds for appeal since defense asked for venue change, but the news was nationwide so that might not hold much weight.Life is easy when you take personal responsibility

Good morning guys. Looking forward to an acquittal today. Anything else would be a joke. Btw, I don't know GZ or TM. All I know are the facts presented in the case and some facts that were withheld. GZ shouldn't be convicted on the facts presented IMO.

I have a bad feeling that gz is going to be spending a long time in jail due to race baiting and an all female jury making emotionally charged decisions. There is no evodence in this case even remotely indicating that gz ccommitted any type of crime. The justice system will fail us.
I wonder if there will be any public outcry when he is convicted? Its just such a huge blow to gun owners. I would be scared to defend myself at all after this.NSCA-CPT

I was saying last night that I think B29 might be the weakest link because she's from Chicago and might be unaware or can't understand that you can actually use a firearm to defend yourself from imment bodily harm in Florida. She was the one that was supposedly tearing up during Costner's closing rebuttal.
As for juror E6 she worked in finance for awhile which means she has to be able to use logic over emotions and is a proponent of public safety. You never know what her thoughts are when actually faced with a violent situation.*Stopped smoking crew* 2 years and 5 month bishes, and counting.*

even though one juror was supposedly tearing up during the trial, it could mean anything. maybe she's tearing up because she knows there's gonna be an acquittal and that the martin family has to move on with no son. idk. im still holding out hope that they make the right call.

Even if he's found guilty, the decision will just be appealed and likely overturned at a higher court. They won't use jurors at a higher court level, and based on all the evidence in this case, there is no reason why GZ would be found guilty.

From the Jury's instructions:
If in your consideration of the issue of self-defense you have a reasonable doubt on the question of whether George Zimmerman was justified in the use of deadly force, you should find George Zimmerman not guilty.
If you're mad he's not guilty, be bad at the prosecution for failing to prove he wasn't in fear for his life. If you're mad that GZ got out of his car or mad that TM was unarmed....be aware it doesn't matter. If you think, for some unknown reason, you are the one living soul on the planet that knows 100% whether or not GZ was justified in use of deadly force (based on evidence) then you are a special snowflake indeed.

One thing I've learned after watching all of this is that having a jury made up of normal everyday people, who know nothing about the legal system or the courts, decide a person's fate is beyond ridiculous. Jurors should consist entirely of active or retired judges and lawyers who actually know how to correctly apply and interpret the laws and analyze all the evidence objectively .
