Are grapes bad for weight loss?

I have been eating grapes instead of junk food to help me lose weight. I have read on a few web sites that grapes are bad because of the sugar. Should I stop eating them ?

No individual food is 'bad' for weight loss, bar volume. It depends on the context of your overall diet; not the consumption of one food.

They're fine. They're high in various antioxidants but also high in fructose. Just don't go hog wild. If you want to hedge your bets, eat them with a fatty meal or soon after a workout when your insulin sensitivity is particularly high. And eat a variety of fruits besides grapes. There are some really great plum-apricot hybrids in season, now, for instance. I just finished a box of plum-cherry hybrids that blew my mind.

There's a lot of fat asses in the world and not a single one of them got that way from eating too many grapes.

    Eat all you want.
