-the random world pvp while you were leveling up and thinking "OMG its the horde/alliance"
-UBRS !!!!
-going to zones and thinking "THIS PLACE IS DANGEROUS, i shouldnt be here"
-getting your first mount but its only 60% speed lol compared to 100% older players had
- 100g is a lot of gold
- the server ninja! LOL
- the realm forums lol
- the whole epic'd out raiders vs guys trying to get their gear thru pvp ranks being dominated by mc raiders lulz
- guy named Soutalgon trying to lead 40 people to victory in AV by trying to use caps and certain "tactics" during AV weekend
- essence farming in felwood
- the chinese farmers in western and eastern plague farming dem elites lol
-the koreans

Possibly one of the greatest event EVER in gaming history










I still play some games but not on the computer, it's mostly on PS3 now, I sorta see the Blizzard as a dying company - Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 and the expansion packs for WoW were all sorta failures compared to their prequels and its been going down hill.


But I'm so glad I got to experience this era from Blizzard!!!!

D2 and WoW had me hooked through HS and University. dem feels. Ahn'Qiraj was great, I never completed the questline though

that feel when i started my own guild from scratch and worked it up to ~100 solid players clearing ZG/MC/AQ20/some of AQ40. Them feels when it was our first raid and guilds barely raided at all at the time, got dropped my +22 int two handed wep from ZG .... and then when i got the judgement helm from onyxia hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng. This is around the time when pvp used to occur in ashenvale/SVG/crossroads and I was one of the very few to have an epic mount on the server. Vanilla wow was a ****ing excellent game and i've played css/hon competitively for years even at lans.


Above all these games though, released in late 1997 Total annihilation still is my favorite game of all time (and i was a cnc nerd). Especially with regards to online play, add in 8 players with cc and tauip mods, **** was unreal games would last for hours. Ofc we used to play all this across gamespy the worst gaming client ever

I get constant urges to play WoW again but I just can't let myself do it.

That game was so damn fun and felt so rewarding... It was so easy to sit there for hours and not get bored.

for me what made a huge deal was the community, the chat channels were so much fun and they still continued that in WoW, but for some reason when SC2 and D3 came out they took it out and it was one of the best things apart from the game that made their games so good
