    how long will chicken last

Hey just wondering how long grilled chicken, turkey, and steak will last in the fridge. I have a tight schedule and would like to cook my meals for the week on sunday nights. I have read 3 days but i feel as though that is too conservative. Thanks.

I have had no problems keeping any of that stuff in the fridge for a week (7 days). If you're worried you can always put 1/2 the weeks meals in the freezer and take them out the night before you use them, but, like I said, I haven't had any problems with a full week.

I usually cook/bake chicken for 4 days and there is nothing wrong with it at the 4th day. I keep it in the fridge and just take it when I feel like.

There could be a few days of flexibility depending on storage conditions, but taste will probably be the thing that goes first.

The nutrition will pretty much be the same a week in, but there is definitely taste loss. People, for obvious reasons, equate taste to food safety, but this isn't always true. Depending upon how fresh it was when you cooked it, and how you stored it, a week can be done safely. But like I said, there will be a loss in taste that can be unappealing for some after a few days (personally, I think its a matter of upbringing, not science).

Also, it matters what other ingredients there are mixed in.
