I work out 5 timeTimes a week 3 days are wieghts 2 days cardio I'm trying to slim down a bit but also make muscle , I was curious to know If I should take cla with my whey protien? Thanks!

Taking CLA isn't a good idea period. Whey is a liquid chicken breast, and not some magical powder. Just a convenient way to hit your macros, and definitely is not necessary.
Supplement a good diet: don't diet on supplements.
