Damn you guys are getting killed in here.
I had a great week and hit the gym 3 times this week which I pretty rare for my normal twice a week schedule. Been working more leg work into the mix as both knees are feeling a lot better.
Nothing but leaves today. Sucks having the backyard all fenced in.My famous work quote:

Back is around 90% now. Still a little sore when I move in certain ways but the good news was I had no pain when I hit the gym on Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday did some chest and biceps. After almost 2 weeks off and bad eating it was a little disappointing the amount of weight I could move.
Sunday was back day and I was feeling much better. Did some SLDL's and got up to 415 for a single before I decided that was enough. Also did some Yates's rows with no pain.
I do have some DOMS to contend with right now which is new. Back at it tomorrow night for some Delts and Tri's.Instagram @captloufitness

Today my wife was sick and had to stay home to watch kids.

Today I had to double up my training session. Back and Delts. As much as I hate doing two large muscle groups in a session I had to.
The next week or so is going to be very stressful and missing some training sessions due to family obligations and other stuff.
Hopefully the day after Thanksgiving I will be back to "normal" training stuff!!!!Every day counts.

How I feel right now...
Forever bulking FTW!!!! I like looking 190 when I'm actually 160... Can't seem to find it in me to get into contest mode of dieting/cardio right now.
Maybe next week. I should still have time to get it together by the end of March!

Have not posted here for a bit. Been on a BB routine for a couple weeks now and my joints are feeling 100% better.
Might have to stick with this for awhile.
Yesterday was Back day. Did some rack deads, on the lowest setting, where the bar was less than a foot from the floor. Pulled 405 for 8 which I was pretty happy with, and left it at that for those.
Did some other accessory exercises with a total of 19 sets. (high rows, pulldowns, Low Hammer Strength pulls)
Finished it up with a super set of calf presses 12-15 reps and donkey calf raises.

So things are slow in here. Been working very consistently at the gym. Usually twice a week. The mass is back and I'll be hardcore heading into the new year. Will even get back into video sessions.

Hoping to be back into the swing of things in a couple days. I've been nursing a hurt back the past couple weeks. Feels about 80% now.Every day counts.

Ok so, I planned on taking two years off from competing and one year to get ready. Well....
Now it's five years later. I was told by a person who I respected the night before my last show that I would never be a top level competitor because I didn't have enough size and I needed to "use" in order to be competitive at that level. I somewhat agree with him but my stubbornness wouldn't allow me to accept it. I shrugged it off for a while then I got doubts and figured he was right. That's prolly why I haven't been too motivated to get into shape the past couple years.
I know he use to read my journals don't know if he even logs in anymore but I want to say something. I am climbing a wall... I am near the top... I'm about to go over that wall!!!

OK I guess you are going to make me start posting in here again.
Sunday was back day so I started off with deads. For some reason or another everything felt really heavy. Funny how that all works out. last week I do 425 for 6 and yesterday I was struggling with 405. I did manage to pull 455 for a single on my 6th set but it just felt off for some reason. I really think I am going to start working in the 8 rep range for deads to get a bit more explosive off the bottom end.
9 sets of deads
4 sets of bent over BB rows
4 sets of Hammer Strength low rows
3 sets of close grip pull downs
3 sets of straight bar push downs for lats

Been a rough couple days, but have been getting into the gym. Last night was my daughters first speed/conditioning workout with a trainer at my gym for the upcoming spring soccer season. I was watching her while I was going through my workouts and she was doing pretty darn good. Really surprised me, since she just went through another growth spurt and is kinda uncoordinated right now.
Last night was a quick Shoulder/Tricep workout. Had to get in and out in about a hour.

Last night was leg work, still kinda paranoid about hurting my back again so I just went up to 245 on squats. Still keeping the rep range at 8-10.

Well it was another good day in the gym, weight is going down and lifts are still going up. Huge difference since my last cut. I think I found my sweet spot in 2500 calories a day with the 5 meals I am eating, I use meals losely, 2 of them are a protein shake with oats at 3:30 and 1/2 cup of cottage cheese at 9:30. The rest are normal meals of lean beef, chicken or Turkey, with eggs in the morning.

I'm here bruh! Just been really busy. Working on house... kids doctor appointments.... Bowling.... birthday parties.... and other life stuff.
Still I was able to hit the gym last week to do each muscle group. Taking today off. Plan on doing legs tomorrow then Monday and Tuesday I'll have to take off.
I should be back to "normal" routine Wed.
Diet.... Well, it hasn't gotten out of hand. Been eating great during the week and been eating whatever on weekends. I'm going to have to stop that soon.Every day counts.
