Doctor said my liver is getting damaged

I started off really underweight and ive gained 18 pounds in 2 months by drinking mass gainer and eating more. My liver had a score of 77 and he said most people my age has a score of 7. Could it because im gaining weight too fast, drinking too much weight gainer instead of actual food or am I eating too much protein for my body weight?

That's a lot in 2 months. How many do you drink a day? And did you not eat much before you started training?

I drink one shake per day(1 scoop of Serious Mass, Milk, Peanut Butter and Oats). No, before I did not eat much at all. I just didn't have any appetite, even today I don't have any appetite, but I still eat more than I used to.

Starting weight? And did you tell the doctor about training and eating more? 1 shake is fine. By the amount of weight you gained, you were most likely at an unhealthy starting weight.

I don't think drinking 1 shake per day would cause elevated liver enzymes, however a while back mine were elevated because I was taking a contaminated protein with heavy metals even though it was a very reputable brand. Are you drinking a lot of alcohol or taking Tylenol? Because those are the 2 most common reasons for slight liver damage.

Starting weight was 118 and I'm 5'7. Yes, I told him about the weight gain and he said that could be why. So I can't eat and drink as much as I can? I have to limit my calories and such for a steady increase?

A routine blood test and the score indicates your liver enzymes.

I've just read that I should eat 3 hours before I go to bed for a healthier liver, but every day before bed I eat a full meal or drink a shake so my body doesn't cannibalize its self over night.

Do you lift? Did you lift intensely in the several days leading up to the blood draw?

Yes, I lift 3 times a week intensely till I'm sweating buckets and worked out the day before the blood test.

I think it's better to slowly and steadily increase calories. 118 is very light. So say your getting 2000 calories a day and want to gain. Each week I'd increase by 250. That's my opinion, but I believe it will be easier on your body then to suddenly jump 1000 calories over night

Don't buy into they belief that if you don't have casein or something before bed that after a few hours of sleep you go catabolic.

Easy fix. Place supp bottles out in open or next to something you use everyday so you won't forget. Or a reminder on phone or something.

Since you don't know what the score is referring to or how it was determined, I will say this - AST and ALT are often times elevated above normal range for at least a week after intense resistance training. If there is concern, you may want to refrain from hard exercise for at least several days before doing a retest.

Maybe it's because I dont eat enough fruit and veggies. Usually I only have like a single banana or apple per day. Sometimes dont eat any fruit or veggies for the entire day. I eat a lot of fried foods so I need a balance.

The better question is why didn't you just ask your doctor why your score is 77 instead of a normal 7 when he told you all of this? Instead you post the question on here when the best thing you could have done was just ask your own doctor this question.

I did, but I have to get an ultrasound and further blood tests for the results.

how much water are you drinking per day? sounds like you are not getting rid off toxic substances..mass gainers are known for that, you should stop all supplements and detox for atleast week or so and see how your liver enzymes are.
