Electrolytes are minerals (sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium) that help to regulate bodily functions. You can get them through eating nutritious foods or through sports drinks like Gatorade.

so, real quick, other then Gatorade..could i be getting them from bananas (potassium) and salt (sodium) etc??

Yea you can definitly get them from whole foods other then sports drinks. Sports drinks are really only if your active and sweating constantly otherwise id stay away from them. You can get magnesium from banana's to and also nuts. Sodium of course you can get from salt.
