bulimia ? ? ?

i wanted to know about it. i am not considering EVER doing it, but i dont get why ppl do it. i know that bulimics arent usually that skinny. all they are doing is creating stomach ulcers, unbalancing they're electrolytes, tearing up their throut and inviting a whole slew of other health problems in.. the only benefit i can think of is mental. thinking they got rid of that food...even though they only got rid of half...idk...

what do you all think????

alot of it is psychological. They have a horrible self image...or I've seen where it's sort of an OCD thing. It's an eating disorder.

well, i know but i have a lot of self discipline. i eat only salads and chicken and meal bars. but when im eating w/ my family and they make me eat a lot, i gotta go "get rid" of it, u know? its NOT an easy way out..its actually pretty tough

and yeah, i know around 60% is psycological...i have been diagnosed w/ depression and anxiety and im completely unhappy with myself no matter how i look...i know i shouldnt but i cant seem to help it. my insecurities kind of take over..

Why are they making you eat alot? Use some of your self discipline to will yourself away from even thinking this will "get rid of it". Maybe fix yourself something different for dinner? I know it's hard when you've got other issues going on in yourself, i've been there...just keep telling yourself the damage you've shared with us that you know what this could cause, and that food will go away on its own. Get this bulimia out of your head.

they know i dont eat enough so they make me sit there and stuff my face until they think im good...then of course i gotta puke it out..be4 it gets dissolved and i start to digest it...i cant let my body take in all that fat and those nasty carbs!

Have you ever considered getting some help? Seriously I think it would help. I knew a guy my freshman year in the dorm who became that way, and he did lose weight...but he always smelled like puke and when we would play poker or something he would always get up and go vomit, and we all knew where he was going. It was sad really. He just needed some help I think. I think you should get some too. Im just suggesting.

They're all 18 or older...you shouldn't be putting your body under any extra stress. Stop vomiting, don't take a fat burner, and seek out improved mental health. You will never be pleased with your body if you're not mentally healthy. Also, you're focusing far too much on weight; it is not an indicator of fitness. Body fat is. Starving yourself will cost you muscle and damage your internal organs by altering their pH. You need to add variety to your diet; chicken and salad is good, and protein bars are ok, but they're not real food. Your body needs a wider variety of micronutrients. If your'e really concerned about your health and image, you'll improve your diet, stop vomiting, and stop watching the scale. If you really need to for your own piece of mind, get your body fat tested. A range of 20-25% is considered healthy for women, and 10-12% is necessary to prevent extreme health problems. You don't need to fall below 20% since you're not competing in anything and, more importantly, you're still growing. But really, you need to fix the mental situation before you can pursue the physical situation.

yeah, ur right and i know my body fat is at around 19-20%..i just got it checked a little bit ago...im just not happy with my appearence at all. i have a fat midsection and thighs..eww

u weight 113 pounds, trust me, if ur looking to be more attractive, that wont help. I and most guys would rather a girl with "some meat" than askinny girl that loks like a skeloton. u wanna lose belly fat? then run, do some weights and cardio. If u eat something fattening, jump rope or do some intnse cardio, i dont havea lot of tolerance for people who starve themselves. or puke, gross.

judging by looking at your photos u dont even look that fat ... your only 15, stop worrying so much .. just eat healthy and excersise regularly and you'll look fine.

Pffft, fat loss pills suck. I'd go as far as saying they don't do anything although many would disagree.

Inducing vommiting in my opinion is just a terrible solution for people who aren't dedicated enough to just do cardio instead after an unplanned cheat. Or better yet, eat healthy and allow yourself a cheat meal once in a while.

wow, a lot to say.
first of all shutup about me having no self discipline..read up on my posts in this thread.
second, losing weight has a lot to do with bulimia and that was be4 i discovered there was a form for ED.
third SF, i do a hell of a lot of cardio so, just to let you know..and
fourth either you guys are crazy, my pics are screwed up, or....ur telling the truth. AWW..YOUR SO NICE!! :') so, im gonna try to stop puking but im still losing the xtra 13...
