for me an average day, not including cooking cost like gas, electricity, etc.
runs me a bout $6-7/day
breakfast is usually <$1.00
lunch is ~$1.50-2.00
snacks (including protein shake) range from $2-3
dinner is around $2.00-2.50
honest, how cheap eggs are ($2 for 18) and chicken ($1.88/lb) I save so much money...the extra carbs and such are so cheap and last a while. a serving of hummus and pita bread for me is like 50 cents and a serving of brown rice is a quarter after its cooked.
my breakfast is 3 eggs and oatmeal and that comes to only 66 cents.

About $10 a day. I read my local supermarkets' sales ads every week and stock up on sales-priced protein and figure out who has the best inexpensive seasonal produce.

It's hard to guess with a family of 2.5 (2yo daughter with the appetite of a goat)
I spend about $200-250/week on food. That excludes things like coffee and supplements. Those add another $150ish per month.
The killer is getting locally raised meats and ethically farmed fish. Being a hippie costs so much more, it's stupid.Still workin'
