I've got 20$ for the next two or three days. Thinking I'm going to buy some bread/pasta, peanut butter, canned salmon (20g protein a can@ like a buck fifty a can) and probably some other fruit veg. I think that buying fresh meat is really what puts a hole in your pocket. That stuff can get expensive.

Without meat your looking to be around $60.
However, I too like to buy my meat in bulk at Sam's. They have Free Range Chicken now which is pretty cool.
I need to go back to my Harris Teeter, $1.99 a lb chicken breast. Last time I had it though, chicken tasted slightly sketchy so it kind of creeped me out. But for $1.99 a lb I'll give it another try.

You gotta stock up on sales, get a Costco card or something.
Hamburger on sale $3 a pound I'm eating meatloaf and burgers.
Buying whole chickens at $1 pound.
Making beans and rice for a side.
Eggs in 5 dozen package
Store brand Greek yogurt $3-4 quart
Putting big beef or pork roasts in the crock pot til they shred up and making burritos or pulled meat sandwiches. Oats $.60 a pound in bulk.
Buy a 20 pound bag of rice and 10 pound bags potatoes.
T-bones or New Yorks on sale $5 a pound. I'm throwing out the frozen veg and filling the freezers.
I spend $6 a day on meat usually, $2-4 covers the rest easy unless there is some really good produce that week. The most important aspect of weight training; whether for the athlete, bodybuilder, or average person is to better ones health and ability without injury. - Bill Pearl

The wife and I budget for $850/month, and can sometimes go over. We also never go out for food and buy mostly fresh items which can add up but is so worth it. Probably doesn't help I'm trying to gain strength and my wife is pregnant, so now is not the time to cut back on good food!
Eat real food, move more, lift heavy stuff, show gratitude, be happy.
