Love dusty but im just wondering why Chris would have him have carbs in the morning if hes training at night? Seems like it would make a bit more sense to have them around training

Yes, but he's probably not counting them like he does his calorie dense starchy carbs. There's only about 5 grams of carbs in 1 cup of greens and usually it's from fiber. I don't bother counting my added greens, unless its a huge serving.

Technically? Yes. It's hard to fuel your workout on lettuce, though. He could easily move those meals around so that the high carbs are bracketing his workout, creating a better environment for muscle retention.

Seems like they're subscribing to the "no carbs at night philosophy" which isn't anywhere near optimal if you train in the evening.

He's eating 2 full bags of lettuce + a full container of green beans though, it's not like saying it's a serving next to a meal.

    Edit*
Just checked out the nutrition facts..I overestimated it. What in the..3g of carbs per 100g..holy.

Yup, certain lettuce and greens make for a great filler to help keep you satiated, helps with digestion, antioxidants, meet your fiber requirements (depending on what you choose) etc...I try to add some version of them with all my pre-made meals

Avg adult male stores about 1,000 cals worth of glycogen, so I'm sure a bodybuilder stores a bit more even, so when he goes to train, he won't be completely lacking energy, although it'd probably be a good idea to eat some carbs after workout.

It takes hours to break down food. When he's training his body is also going to slow down on digestion. If he wants carbs in his system when he trains then he needs to eat them earlier in the day. The dude isn't going to run 6 miles to get to the gym. He will still have nearly full glycogen stores by the time he goes to train.

Typically I would agree with the idea of carbs around the workouts but in all honesty it has been a non issue during the prep plus what was not in these videos are the increased calorie days that Chris has been giving me as needed based on condition and fullness during the prep. For example today I am having 8oz flank, 10oz potato, and 2 muffins pre workout and then following the workout up with sashimi and 1.5 cups rice. Tomorrow the pre workout meal is the same but the post workout is a burger and fries. I did make an alteration top tomorrows training time because the wifey wanted to turn the post workout meal into a "date night" lol.

Because of the lack of videos I have found someone who will be filming a lot more between now and the USA's and continue on after the USA's. Really hoping I can get some good footage on my Europe tour in late August early Sept.

Really hoping I can get some good footage on my Europe tour in late August early Sept.
i'm just gonna throw this inhere (FIBO)

I am...I still believe in keeping my food delish! No need to eat crappy tasting food if you can get just as conditioned and enjoy the taste.
