The last time I attempted a ketogenic diet, I stalled during induction. I ended up quitting after two weeks because it was effecting my job. This time around, I'm hoping to minimize induction by ramping down carb intake and ramping up fat intake. Has anybody had any success with this plan?

I have not tried that. I would think going cold turkey of sorts would be the fastest way to get through the induction phase. Usually it takes a few days to get into Ketosis. If it really hurts your job, you might try to start your diet strategically... If you think it will take you 3 days to enter Ketosis, maybe start the diet on wed. then come friday afternoon, sat morning, you will be in and have a couple of days to get through the brain fog and other symptoms. From what i have read, most people claim your body gets through those symptoms faster the second time around.

Getting started on keto and the initial induction is the hardest for everyone. I would start with about 70/25/<5, upping the fat and downing the protein just a little to ease your body at using fat for fuel. I would keep your cals at or just below your maintenance just so you wont be so hungry and get discouraged. In a few days you will start feeling the keto effects and should be in the clear. Might want to jump on some caffeine to help. Keep carbs as low as possible. And coconut oil and mct oil are a great idea, a must in my book. Good luck and hope i helped.
