I have some mild kyphosis and working out doing the exercises my trainer gave me really helped and it's slowly but surely straightening up. (My doc said it is mild and nothing to worry about)
I had always tried to shrink my big butt but I never could. I lost fat all over my body except for my butt. While researching kyphosis, I found that I have anterior pelvic tilt. I tried posting links to what it looks like but since I have less than 50 post count, the site won't let me.
It's like my front side of my body is getting better from all the working out but my big butt sticks out like a girl and I don't like it. I think it could also be the cause of discomfort I get near my tail bone area while sitting.
What can I do to correct it? I've been hesitant on doing squats because I didn't want to put too much pressure on my upper back. I am 18 years old and don't have extra money for a trainer anymore and would really appreciate some advice.

APT (anterior pelvic tilt) generally has the following muscles as being short/tight/overactive:
Quads, Erector Spinae, Hip flexors
I would stretch those bad boys out DAILY! Google "self myofascial release".
Some of the muscles most likely underactive here are:
Glutes and Hamstrings
Do exercises to STRENGTHEN these! Do not need to get fancy here. Bodyweight exercises as well as a pair of cheap resistance bands will suffice.
There are more muscle groups affected by this distortion pattern but these are the common ones.
Hope this helps. You give something up for everything you gain
