No. The whitewalkers were going to the Fist of the First Men to attack the Night's Watch expedition that was camping out there (hence all the screaming/fighting at the start of season 3 during the blacked out portion at the start of the episode).
And no Entourage anywhere on the list? I can't take this seriously.Last edited by DontShoot; 06-25-2013 at 07:15 AM.

agree with sopranos (RIP james gandolfini) the wire, breaking bad and the Simpsons.
haven't seen the other two from your top 6 but gives me something to watch.
I'd also include entourage, not for having the best script, acting or depth it was just a feel good show, so many memories of chilling with friends and putting on a couple of episodes
^ forgot about boardwalk empire

I only put 6 series on the list. I really like Entourage, just finished watching it for the second time about a week ago. great show but not in my top 6. It didn't fit in the comedy or sci fi sections either.
Once again, why don't you post a list instead of just commenting on how bad mine is?
Also, to everyone saying Boardwalk Empire,
I think it's quite good however I have problems with it [SPOILERS]:
1. I don't think Nucky is that likable a character. He's cruel, smug and ruthless without really having any redeeming qualities. He's nowhere near as interesting or cool as Rothstein.
2. Nelson's character is interesting at first but then they lost their way with his sub-plot. Whether they take I where I want them to in the future (he becomes a mob boss) or not I don't know but I think they have become sidetracked as a result of the success of the show.
3. Killed J.D. This to me seems like the result of behind the scenes things not as part of the plot. Why kill the most interesting and watchable character? I think the actor wanted out (could be wrong here).
4. Schroeder sells of all Nuckys land at the end of season 2 and he doesn't kill her. There's little evidence throughout (or at least it isn't convincing trough dialogue and acting) that he really loves her. So why, when he has killed many other people for a lot less is he fine with her doing what she does?
5. Margaret Schroeder womens health scences. Ughh...just ughh
6. Season 3 was mostly a yawn fest about a petrol station.Last edited by danielMSF; 06-25-2013 at 07:33 AM.

i can't believe how many thousands of people think the white walkers were at the wall.
are they watching the show while texting or something?
the entire 2nd season the night's watch is shown travelling beyond the wall.
sam finds the dragonglass weapons at the fist of the first men.
sam and the other 2 digging for sh!t at fist of first men.
white walkers arrive at fist of first men.
brb half the audience thinks they are at the wall.Last edited by StrngLrkrOPeace; 06-25-2013 at 07:41 AM.

I don't think they are at the wall and didn't say I did either, not sure where that came from. I guess I missed what DontShoot pointed out. I think my point about how many there are at the beginning and then how few there are throughout the third series is valid. I guess they implied that they killed them all when Sam is rescued by Mormont and crew. Just wasn't conveyed that clearly for me and I'm not a dozy tv watcher. Guess I wasn't paying attention.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that at the end of series 2 they are shown as some fear-inducing mass charging towards the south, in the third series they are just mentioned and not seen.
I enjoyed it a lot and am reading the books because of how good I think the series is. I still think it has pacing issues.

Decent list OP, I agree with it somewhat. Sopranos/The Wire are my top 2 also. I think most grew up with the Simpsons but I'm not sure it can belong on the list because a lot of the more recent seasons just weren't on the level of the earlier ones.
Also as someone mentioned before, the first season of Prison Break is the single best season of any show ever.
And a special mention to Oz because that's also a great show that doesn't seem to get a lot of recognition. There is but one path....we kill them all.

a goat t.v show should have at least 5 seasons to qualify...any t.v show can be good if they only make a few seasons from it. It's talent when you have a t.v show keeping its strength up for years and years like breaking bad / lost. If game of thrones keeps it up for a couple more seasons they will be the goat but right now it's lost and breaking bad.

you had said
The whitewalkers at the end of season 2 were in their hundred walking towards the wall.
is the wall.
and to be fair, since that episode was about 18 months ago, i can see mixing it up. but people were saying it the next day. and your comments about season 3 are valid because they rushed some things.
but, on its own, season 2 did a good job of explaining that the nights watch was far north of the wall.*always pick 4 crew*
*vasectomy crew*
*house stark crew*
