Brand of gloves does not make difference. But how they are made do. Well its all your opinion on material, and how they fit you. Whats expensive? Gloves should be max about 20 bucks. More is rip off.

Yes there are much better products than you will find locally. Shop around online and come up with a few specific one that look interesting to you.

I've used Harbinger for years. Work very well for me! After a couple of years they need replacing, but it's probably a good thing to do anyway.

Buy a good pair of leather gloves, I've used the golds gym max lift, well they're called something like that anyway. They seem okay, material ones see, to tear very quickly. Most gloves seem to need replacing after a few months of heavy lifting anyway.

I've tried to man up and lift bare palm but it seems to affect my hands too much.

If you have to wear gloves, Schiek is the brand to look at. They're much higher quality than that Harbinger crap for only a few bucks more, and American-made.
