Is it jail or prison? There is a difference. Prison being what you see in the movies with gangs and raping chit. Jail your just waiting for your time to end, reading books, playing cards. If you're a trustee you can earn some reduced time.

prison is usually >1 year. Usually if it's <1 year it's jail.
