Yes I played it all the way through.
The AI was mediocre
Your friendly AI was annoying and unrealistic. I mean wtf, they are never spotted by enemy AI, multiple times where they in plain site and never spotted. Also there were times when crouched, an enemy was clearing look at me, but didn't spot me. Maybe I was spoiled by hitman games, but damn that stealth is garbage fake.
The characters and story were also mediocre. Zombie games are so overplayed, the enemy characters were so predictable and stupid (I know they are zombies, but still, have some variation in animations. Clickers did that same arm wave pattern every. fukkin. time.) The characters in the game weren't anything special either. Ellie sounded like she was in her 20s and Joel was an unlikable redneck. The ending was predictable, I won't spoil it, but I knew it would play out like that. How to write a typical story 101.
Idk, I played it and it didn't live up to this "Masterpiece" 10/10 hype. If this is what people consider a 10/10 game... then fuk me do we have a long way to go.

People tend to overhype everything. I've tried so many supposed 10/10 games that turned out to be garbage. For example skyrim. I don't bother with story driven games anymore, its really rare to find a good one now a days. Almost every story is god awful, and there is no creativity, every game now a days is go here kill all these people, then go to the next spot and kill all the people.

That's true. People need to tone down the hype tbh, ruins games. I prob would have liked the last of us more if *******s didn't call it the best game ever or GOTY.
I know I'm not the only one...
Let's be real, what made the last of us so much better than other great games?
If it's the story, well there are way more things that make a game. Just because I like a story in a game a ton, doesn't mean it was a great game. This story wasn't that special either. I'm not saying it was bad, just not 10/10yolo

Pretty sure you're the only one man. I havent played a game that could compare to the single player aspect of The Last of Us. Game was simply amazing and brilliant.

As big of an Xbox fanboy that you are, I'm not even remotely surprised by this thread. Nice try though!
Just stick with what you are "good" at; creating attention whore threads (as if this isn't one) about how awesome the Xbox 180 is going to be, how great the features would have been had people not complained, and blah blah blah.

So far i've heard input from basically only PS fanboys, and I confirmed this suspicion by looking at the thread vote.
I'm not even making threads about how great the xbox is going to be. I was defending it because it was getting a TON of hate from PS fanboys. The hate for the xbox threads came before my defending the xbox threads. I'm just a response to hate.
And as far as being the resident "PS Hater" well chit, someone has to take the role for diversities sake, the number of resident xbox haters are there on this sub-forum is astounding.yolo

It was a good game, but agreed it was overhyped for what it ended up being. Then again this happens with pretty much any promising game anymore.
Also agree that the ending was way too predictable, that was the only thing that really bothered me. The story was too good for it to give away what was going to happen halfway through the game.XBL - SqueakyBOOTS

LOL @ asking in comparison to only Xbox games.
It's not the same old shooter. Those that expect it to be are bound to be severely disappointed in it.- You can't run and gun.
- You can't jump unrealistic distances.
- You don't have unrealistic powers.
- You can't let the guns do all the work for you.
- You can't spray and pray.
- You can't call in kill streaks to do the work for you.
- You can't throw a grenade the length of a football field.
- You can't jump off a roof, do a 180 and shoot your opponent without missing a step.
- You don't get what seems like an unlimited amount of ammo.
- You can't run off alone and expect to do well.
- You can't melee someone from ten feet away.
- You don't magically heal within a few second of getting shot.
In The Last of Us Multiplayer,- If you want to do well, you actually have to play as a team.
- If you are caught alone, I'd say that 95% of the time you will die.
- If you try to spray and pray, you will run out of ammo before even killing anyone.
- If you run, you show up on the mini map.
- If you don't move slowly when near your opponents, they can see you with their super hearing (okay so there's one unrealistic power)
- In order to heal, you need to build a one time use healing kit.
- If you want explosives, you have to build them yourself.
- If you run out of ammo, you need to buy some with supplies found around the map.
- If you can't buy any ammo, you'll need to replenish by scavenging from recently killed enemies. However, don't expect an entire magazine full of ammo.
- If you want to melee, you need to build a melee weapon or find one. If not, you better hope you get the first punch in, that you have full health and that your opponent doesn't have a melee weapon.
- If you want to build things (med kit, explosives, melee weapons) you need to find supplies located around the map.
- If you want to use a scope weapon, you actually have to aim with it.
I'm sure I've missed a few things but that's the gist of it.

lol @ people getting so rustled. its not hard for anyone to think a "10/10" game is overrated.
Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

I believe this (srs).
The gaming community majority (ie. typically younger/dumber/casual/people with bad taste aka the lowest common denominator) ALWAYS completely overhype and oversell things...just like they did with Oblivion and Skyrim.
I will eventually play the game (when it hits the bargain bin) and decide for myself.
But I know for a fact that this game cannot beat RDR in terms of story and experience.MAGA

The ending is cliche lol. It makes sense. The game you play add up to the ending. If they made a movie, they would have ended that same way, the other way wouldn't have made sense. If they had ended it the opposite, I actually think it would have been a "dayamnn" moment. It would have topped the game's story off imo.
I understand the deeper meanings of the story, still doesn't make the story great when they present it in such a Hollywood ending kind of way.
red dead redemption was a good game story wise. That's what Rockstar games have over other games, they have far deeper stories and more complexity.yolo
