lets say the average lifting who walks into the gym should burn around 500 calories for a standard hour long hypertrophy workout (correct me if im wrong ?), What do you think about dropping these calories when im resting, ill still be aiming to shoot over maintenance to keep myself anabolic but i don't see the need in consuming my calories id lose at the gym if im not there ?
so it would look something like this roughly
Monday Wednesday Friday workout days : Tdee 2400 cals + gym 500 estimate cals + surplus 300 = 3200 cals
Weekend rest days : tdee 2400 cals + surplus 300 cals = 2700
any input would be greatly appreciated
i have searched many places and looked at many threads and everyone seems to have conflicting views on the subject even the professionals. is their actual REAL nutritional evidence thats shows that digestion happens on a liner basis or that it is better to eat the same it seems like common sense show that eat more when more calories are burned but its hard to do that because you carnet be definite on how many calories you are burning

It's one way to approach things.
I don't do it because protein synthesis is maintained for upwards of 48 hours after weight training. Your muscles are looking for food up to 2 days after training.

What you can do than, is simply to round up everything. Eat the same amount everyday, so for you can go for around 2925 calories a day (3200 x 3 + 2700 x 4)/7
So that way you have the same amount of calories you are aiming for weekly but you will eat the same amount. It might be less pain in the butt that way. It's up to you, at the end, the most important thing is that you're reaching your goals whatever the way you're doing it !I'm just trying to become a better and stronger version of myself

I think you did the right thing by upping calories up if you don't gain weight. It's really trial and error to figure out nutrition and calorie intake. It could take months !! Keep up the good work and good luck with your fitness goals.

Troll thread people.
He's made about 5 different threads with this same question and constantly argues logic with nonsense.

There is no help for you.
Every thread you make you get the same answer from multiple posters.
Stop adjusting calories, eat constantly and balance it out and you're going to get the same results (or even better because you'll be fueling your growth on off days with a surplus) as when you're trying to adjust daily.
There is no need for this, its unnecessary work.
Yet no matter how many times you get this same, solid advice.
You wait about a week or so and make the exact same thread again.
Stop with the threads. They're annoying and the answers aren't changing.
So either listen to our advice, or keep going with over thinking and working doing your method.
Either way stop posting the same thread 1,000,000 times and hoping for different responses.USMC (2009-2013)
