BRB running to first base = season ending injury.
Baseball is honestly only for the fragile and weak.

I say you name single digit players.
You name single digit players. Kudos bro!
And for the record, Mike Trout does not even look SLIGHTLY in shape. I'm 200% certain I could run a faster 40, 400, 800, 1 mile, 2 mile, and 10 mile than he could.
Tulo Puig and Harper are all just borderline out of shape for any other sport.
Only in baseball would these dudes be considered in shape. Srs.Originally Posted by RogerSterling i workout for my health, dont feel the need to eat if i'm not hungry since i still get plenty of puss being the weight i am now.

Good thing you have no idea what the average salaries are.
The NBA makes by far the most money on average per athlete at 5 million. MLB makes 3 million and that's without a salary cap and players making absurd stupid contracts like A Rod
Try again.

Technically they are all athletes.
Would they compare to other sports athletes at similar sizes and weights? No. Not even close.
Bolded the most recognizable dumpshow. Dude did you literally just name random players? Fkn lol @ naming a pitcher who looks like he could be a competitive eater as one of your sports best athletes.
Fkn lol.Originally Posted by RogerSterling i workout for my health, dont feel the need to eat if i'm not hungry since i still get plenty of puss being the weight i am now.

T20 cricket, the most modern and watched format of the sport, lasts about 2.5-3 hours, the same amount of time as a baseball game. There is more variation in the bowling/pitching because in addition to the ball's movement in the air, it's allowed to bounce once so there are different kinds of variation gained from its movement off the pitch. Fast bowling also involves sprinting and leaping, so it's more athletic than standing on the mound and throwing the ball. The bats are wider and flatter in cricket, so it's easier to connect with the ball. It's still difficult to guide the ball precisely into narrow spaces in the field, to deal with greater variation in the pitches/deliveries, and so on, but I think in general hitting in baseball is harder. The flip side of that is there are more boundaries and sixes (hits out of the park) in cricket, so that aspect of the game is more eventful and enjoyable for fans. Fielding in cricket is more relaxed than baseball, but catching is more difficult and riskier because gloves aren't allowed. Also, bowlers are allowed to target the body of the batsman with a bouncer or a yorker aimed at the legs, whereas in baseball, it's illegal and considered bad practice to hit the batter. This difference in the rules makes batting in cricket more physical and increases the risk of injury, but the cricket batsman wears more guards and a more protective helmet as a result.
Honestly, both cricket and baseball could easily qualify as the most boring of all the major sports, but I don't think either of these sports is clearly more exciting than the other. There are more similarities to them than people might expect.Last edited by miscreant5; 06-15-2013 at 07:33 PM.

Anyone arguing that baseball requires athleticism is an idiot. The fact that 5-10 athletic baseball players means nothing.
Overall the league is devoid of athletic players. Fact.Originally Posted by RogerSterling i workout for my health, dont feel the need to eat if i'm not hungry since i still get plenty of puss being the weight i am now.

Sorry guys, soccer has the title for most boring sport. How the PHUCK can you watch a sport that can end 0-0? I'd rather watch paint dry. The only exception is the FIFA world cup, that chits intense in the last few minutes.
Back to baseball- It's true that it is terrible to watch and it's long and boring AF, but you can't say there's not skill involved. You have to be pretty good to throw some of those pitches and hit a ball consistently at those speeds. Not necessarily defending it, just throwing that out there.
