This is just a ridiculously unrealistic scenario. Change the terms slightly and put it in context. Say the fight was in the street still unarmed but not in a confined area the SEAL would win 99 times out of 100 because he could utilize the environment better then Lesner, furthermore he could run further/better and lure him into a trap. Added on the the fact that SEALs train to kill not wound/hurt the SEAL would win. In this heavily biased thing you've got here I'd vote Lesner.

These threads literally make me rage so god damn hard, people are so, SO dumb jesus christ
"Score points?" He's taught to put people on their back and knock them the fucck out
The "extensive CQB" training SEALs do is probably not even equivalent to a professional MMA fighter, let alone a top tier one weighing 280 lbs.

If Navy Seals could defeat UFC champions in a higher weight class then why aren't some of them leaving the forces and dominating the UFC?
This is pretty ridiculous, the person with the best chance of winning the MMA fight is....... The MMA fighter. Brock Lesnar vs a Navy Seal on an island with guns would be similarly one sided.

Pretty much anyone with more MMA training than a seal could potentially beat a seal.... MMA is the pinnacle of fighting they are the most effective moves that do not involve weapons or an environment that can play to any other strengths... bjj & muay thai are far more effective then virtually every other sort of martial art... How much Bjj and Muay thai do seals know.....? Beats me.... but without their guns and weapons they are probably not better brawlers then anyone who has a fair amount of MMA training.

SEALs are military experts when it comes to mental toughness, combat tactics and weaponry and anything involving water operations.
They are not cage fighters. They use their weapons 99.9% of the time. So in this scenario Brock Lesnar wins if he has a size advantage. If they are around the same size, I would still put my bet on Lesnar. The SEAL's domain is not in the cage.
Brandon Wolff (jelly of his last name) is an ex Navy SEAl turned MMA fighter, and he doesn't just murder everyone in the cage. Most of his MMA training was AFTER his years spent in the teams.Last edited by J-Cubed; 06-15-2013 at 12:43 PM.

The US military has fight organizations that allow active members to train and fight, most of the guys in those organizations come to MMA trainers to learn how to fight. We would have people in the military come and learn different techniques. Even the ones that didn't participate in MMA, I think it was a required course for most of the guys.Brock Lesnar would destroy most of the people I have ever trained with and he would easily destroy any navy seal. In a bare fist fight I would hate to see what someone like Lesnar could do to a person if he was fighting for his life. Just thinking about sickens me. (srs)

many mma fighters have said that they would get wrecked outside of the ring, and that in no holds barred combat a lot of their training is useless. seals (and any other special operators really) are trained extensively in unarmed cqb training, with a focus on either killing or incapacitating. i voted for seal, obviously.
