OP is correct.
The woman does not care about her son, she only cares about "punishing" her ex husband by taking the child away from him. You can see her use every tactic under the sun to try and get the kid out of the car but it doesn't work. None of her emotions are legit.

I feel for the boy. Hopefully her mom gets her **** together and realizes she's in the wrong.
Mothers and emotional abuse towards their children is common and deserves attention.
I think she was more upset over the possibility of losing child support.
