You do realize that:
1. it doesnt matter since no matter how good their production is they want to sell as soon as possible so if they can produce faster they will just sell sooner and as you can see - products with high demand - or artificial "supply problems" sell out all the time
2. actually "selling out" is also a marketing tool - by having news that report your product selled out - you actually seem more desirable
- which is why some companies even produce artificial "supply-problems" "BRB first contingent of products is 1000 - never say that number to reporters" - BRB news report XY sold out on first day because demand is so high ...

Strong potatoes in this thread thinking he payed 800 for one when it clearly says 2 next to quantity. As well as the derp who doesn't know how 1400=2700 when OP clearly said he also ordered more off amazon. Faking learn to read retards.....
All that aside I think you goofed Op, like someone said earlier, highly doubt that in ten years they haven't improved manufacturing. Nothing sells out anymore as far as electronics, even iPhones are readily available in the millions now where before you had to wait weeks for them to reship. Microsoft and Sony don't want togive you a resale profit for buying 7 of them when they can make as many as needed and not force people to overpay a third party. PS4s aren't even sold out yet, many still available to buy and that's the favored console (no hate, I'm buying both, but it seems ps4 is favored after Xbox initial potato marketing/hardware).

Pls take your lack of economic sense elsewhere. Brb selling out is marketing. Brb everyone is goi to buy the new one regardless of whether it sells out retard. It's not the first console, just the next one. People already know the deal. Like Sony and Microsoft want to have people question whether or not to pay 700 bucks for one cause they're sold out. They'd rather have them definitely be okay with spending 400/500 at the store to them directly. Why the fck do you think the price is set at 400 and not the resale price people try to sell it at. Reselling of consoles is dead, after the ps3 release - they aren't doing that again.
And your first point is also faking stupid. Brb contradicting yourself. If they produce faster and sell sooner then they won't sell out retard, they just keep pro ducting supply as demand increases. The value of the ps4 doesnt drop under 400 like a normal product would vary in price range with supply and demand fluctuation. It will be 400 at every store no matter what. If demand goes down, stop producing. If you have more preorders than supply, continue producing, which they have. It's not like consoles expire. They can produce 10 million, sell 8 million, and sit on the other 2 million as they sell over the next year, not in one big launch day sale. It's not like sony lacks production capability, financial resource, or man power.
Don't give people advice if you don't know shiiiiit. Reds gonna retard.

Lol.
Actually "selling out" and getting media-attention is good for a product - also people hearing about "selling out" are more likely to do spontaneous purchases since the idea of missing out makes people buy things they probably wouldnt have bought. And especially now it actually is a good thing because selling out means your console is doing well for consumers which is important since the Xbox One will release in a short ammount of time and it is important for sony to stay in the news.
I dont know but i dont care anyhow - most people probably made bad expiriences with those kind of sellers hunting for a quick buck and chances are if there is a longer supply shortage prices will rise ...
If you can produce faster but sell sonner you will still have shortages.
Its is rather amusing how you think name-calling is a valid form of discussion im not even mad i actually pity you. Also its funny how you think you can lecture me in economics i would actually wonder if you really were 21 - i hope for your sake that youre not that old ...

I'm pretty sure most stores this time round will be re-stocking a lot quicker. Some are even re-stocking days after. Honestly I feel like anyone who buys one on eBay who isn't rich is pretty dumb... If you were that desperate to get one you would have pre-ordered it as there are MANY stores near most people and online stores to pre-order... Also if they just wait 1 week which is only a few days longer taking shipping into account they could probably get a re-stocked one locally.
Good job to anyone who manages to sell MULTIPLE PS4s for ~$100 profit each after eBay fees.Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.
