Life Lift (VPX) vs. Quest Bars (Quest Nutrition) - ONLY Review that Really Mattters!

Disclaimer: I received the Life Lift Bars directly from VPX. Alternatively, this will not affect my thoughts or comparison review because I also have received many free Quest Bars at shows or while working for a company that was doing a study for them.

The 6 flavors comparisons are:
Apple Cinnamon Delight Life Lift vs. Apple Pie Quest Bar

Chocolate Peanut Butter Blast Life Lift vs. Chocolate Peanut Butter Quest Bar

Strawberry Supreme Life Lift vs. Strawberry Cheesecake Quest Bar

Fudge Brownie Blitz Life Lift vs. Chocolate Brownie Quest Bar

Bulk Wild Blueberry Life Lift vs. Mixed Berry Bliss Quest Bar

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Life Lift vs. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Quest Bar

I will be comparing them on a few metrics. These will be texture, flavor, and Desirability. The ingreidient profiles are about the same and in my opinion that is not a material fact to compare. Also, price is around the same so that is a non-factor.

Agreed completely. Also, a lot of opinions regarding taste can be deemed subjective. You should see the VPX reps and our ranking of LL bars.

It's a solid lineup and we can't seem to agree on our favorites

In for this, not really for the comparison, but just for general thoughts.

I've had every flavor of Quest bar and most of the flavors of LL and I'll keep buying both. Personally, the texture and consistency of the LL bars is a huge selling point for me and the ability to eat them right out of the package as opposed to needing a microwave (for several flavors of Quest, mainly the OG line). Quest CCCD is IMPOSSIBLE to beat though.

I've tried all of the Quest bars listed above, except for Berry Bliss (and I know what my personal favorites are out of those bunch), but I haven't gotten to try the Lift Lift bars yet, so it will be interesting to see which ones you rank above my favorites of the Quest comparison (if any)

First Comparison:

Strawberry Supreme Life Lift vs. Strawberry Cheesecake Quest Bar

Texture Winner - Quest Bar. This is purely because I prefer a bit of a chew in my bars. The Strawberry Cheesecake Quest Bar has a softer feel than some of the other flavors. I believe this is probably due to the fruit pieces in this flavor. The Life Lift is very soft and I have zero complaints with that.

Flavor Winner - Quest Bar. These flavors aren't 100% comparable and I am obsessed with cheesecake so Life Lift was doomed to fail on this point before we even started the comparison.

Desirability - Quest Bar. Again, cheesecake sounds better than strawberry supreme. It describes the flavor well but I am not sure the marketing "sound/feel" is up to par.

Yeah that was one I felt bad about comparing but it was the closest. The taste was strawberry which hit that good just wasn't very complex

My only opinion is I thought the idea of "strawberry" is a bit plain for a bar. I think it is good in flavor but from a marketing perspective and what VPX usually produces for flavors it was weak on creativity. Even something simple like strawberries and cream might have been a great selling angle

I believe with this bar VPX was looking to keep out any added sugars or sugar substitutes due to the fact there are people out there who will want a bar without all of that. That being said, yes it will be a subtle flavor and some people (like myself) would rather have a bar that is isn't overly sweet.

Like I said before, lets get a picture up as I want to make sure the bars are presentable and how they look after being shipped.
