It is because the vast majority of conspiracy theories are complete horsesh*t and as such are very difficult to explain rationally. Also I would argue that the nature of conspiracy theories and the whole conspiracy theory community attracts people who have been or feel rejected by society and often have poor social skills, which leads them to struggle in articulating their already dubious theories.
