this was just a thought. i understand total cals and macro hitting is most important. however, say one wanted to keep themselves the least bloated as they could all day. clearly that 1 massive meal is gona bloat you like mad, right? however, it seems if you wanted to keep bloat down, wouldnt more frequent meals prove better for controlling bloat? just curious.

I personally prefer several small meals a day for several reasons...
1. It keeps energy level high and I never feel "bloated like you said"
2. It helps regulate your metabolism which therefore helps burn more fat
3. You can actually digest meals better when in small portions - compared to 1 large meal5 Best Moves To Getting Cuts Abs:

According to nutritionist Antony Haynes he says...
" Grazing was the way our body was designed to eat -- Large meals burden the digestive system, often causing bloating and lowered energy while the body struggles to digest them. By eating smaller meals you prevent this, and the body functions more efficiently throughout the day. When we eat a big meal, the sugar level in our blood rises, but once that meal is digested that blood sugar level falls, taking your energy and mood with it."5 Best Moves To Getting Cuts Abs:

Smaller meals will help you feel less bloated, yes. But as Pug said, it doesn't have to be all or nothing. If you're worried about bloating during the day you could a few smaller meals/snacks throughout the day and then save the rest of your cals at night. (unless this is a digestive issue, in which case you could just have smaller meals in the evening too)
You could also try more calorie-dense foods as well to get in more calories but take up less room in your stomach.

I personally have the opposite effect. When i eat small meals im always bloated due to food always being in my stomach. When i use to eat one meal i only got bloated for a short period of time and when it goes away my core gets aesthetic as fuk. So in my case eating 1 meal before bed would be the best way to control bloat altho i doubt i could chug down 4000 calories in 1 meal
pretty much this. We werent made to eat 1 meal a day nor were we ment to eat 6 meals a day. We were ment to eat whenever we get the chance that means if u kill a deer you eat as much as u can in 1 meal so u get the most out of it, also if ur out gathering ur gonna be snacking on berries all day. Long story short just eat when u want
