    simple ab excercises

My ab routine sucks and I don't get the burn I used to get from planks anymore. I was wondering what's the most updated RKC plank, and what are some effective ab workouts that have simple forms because I'm not that flexible and good with getting the correct form.

Hanging leg raises are great for targeting the abs, and they're great because once you get to a high enough number of reps, you can just start adding weight to your feet. Strengthens your core big time.

Leg raises/hanging leg raises, ab wheel, cable crunches.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
    1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

    Small dumbbell between the feet.

    OP, try ab wheel rollouts.

Thank you for the suggestions, I will look them up and try them. Also, should I stop doing the plank since I don't get the burn I used to? I put a 45 lb on my low back and usually do 4 sets of 60 seconds. I saw a video on RKC plank, but the problem is, I usually do ab workouts after biceps and back or shoulders and my forearms start hurting after 60 seconds, and with the RKC plank video, it seemed to put more pressure on my arms. I also do stomach vacuums before I go to sleep, but they don't seem to do anything.

If you want a great ab workout that is short and effective pick three exercises that target your upper side and lower abs. For example:

    Upper abs= V-sits
    Lower abs= haning leg raises
    side abs= side plank

Do 20 reps of v-sits, 20 reps of leg raises, hold plank on both sides until you can't hold the position any longer.

Do all three of these back to back, then rest for 1 minute -- then repeat 2 more times totaling out to 3 sets.

This will get your abs in excellent shape and does not take long to do

Yea I tried the hanging knee raises today and I definitely felt burn, I was doing w/o weights but was able to 4 sets of 20 reps, and that's too many reps right? What would be a good dumbbell to start with? Also, what do you guys think of torso rotation machine? I'll try all the other suggestions too, thank you.
