Smile Adding fibres to your Whey protein.

Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum, but I've been reading a lot of stuff on here and is helpful.

    One question I have is

Adding fibre powders to your whey protein.

I head that if you add fibres to your protein it will make your body use the protein up slowly. Much similar to casein, can be taken before bed.

Can someone explain or has someone heard of that before and does it work?

    Thanks!

There's no advantage to having a protein that will be slower absorbing

    no it won't...

the whey will digest in the time that wheys supposed to and the fiber will digest in its own time, which would be longer...so it'll essentially just make you satiated longer

you want the slow speed of casein, drink/eat casein, that's all

Fiber typically slows carb digestion, not protein. Soluble fiber, anyways. Insoluble fiber has almost the opposite effect. (At least how I understand it)

There is no need to have a slow digesting protein though. You will not go catabolic overnight.

While it may not increase the benefit of the protein per say, it is important to get adequate fiber in your diet daily. So utilize it to hit your daily macro for fiber intake.
