How Do I Approach a Personal Trainer at my Gym About Shadowing them?

Okay so I need to do some Personal Trainer Job Shadowing so I can have more experience, there is only like one person at my gym I would actually want to shadow, so I don't want to **** things up on my first attempt. Any advice on how someone goes about approaching this situation ?

Hello [insert name], I am interested in learning more about the personal training field. Would you mind if I shadowed you for a few sessions with your clients?

If they don't respond well to that, they are *******s anyways so just move on.
