    Trap development

How do you get bigger traps? Yes I'm bulking and lifting on a good routine, but they aren't seeming to grow. Should I incorporate more heavy shrugs or something? They're big when flexed but small as hell when relaxed

Just make sure to include lots of compound pressing movements such military press and dumbbell shoulder presses, these should hit your traps. If you would really like to isolate them try a few sets of close grip upright rows, those work for me. Hope this helped

Shrugs, lateral raises, plate shrugs, DB trap raises... basically shrug until there's no tomorrow OP. Slow Reps.

Is it normal that I only feel the burn when I use light dumb bells rather than heavy

Yeah, because I'd assume that your going "higher rep" with the lower weights. Resulting in better form and full extension with your traps.

You gotta just throw them straps on and do some heavy ass shrugs bro. Who cares about form, if Jamie lewis does them, you should too.
